I was watching the news the other night about the pickerton case in BC . They said the trial of this guy probly would run the tax payers of Canada 100,000,000 dollars .

The man had a freezer full of Body parts , Buckets with human heads in them . you would think 5 or 10 minutes in a court room and a piece of rope strung over the nearest tree would be enough for that bast--d .

Is our legal system s now just a game for lawyers to get rich from ? they really even care if justise gets served?

Or is it all just to feed fancy lawyers pockets?

I beleave in a fair trial but its not fair to tax payers to spend 100,000,000 on a man who must of had a part in it . I mean cut up Body parts in your freezer ? In Buckets around your property? he even told a police officer that 1 more would of made a even 50 . What is our society becoming just a feeding ground for hungry lawyers?

Do you mean Robert Pickton, the pig farmer? Do you also have a link for the 100 million dollar costs?

The trial is going to run on to be a year or more......and this trial is just for six woman, the ones with the strongest evidence.


The problem is, while there were bodies found on his farm, there isn't enough clear cut evidence saying he killed all of them.


Stupid, I know, but, it's something that will have to be drawn out in court.

It was on the News the other night Krato . I can't remember if it was CTV or CbC but it was Canadian news that claimed that was the predicted cost .

I agree, but the legitation of today's courts are a long and tiresome process. You are guilty until proven innocent... or the latter. Despite their guilt is clear cut, sentencing and a trail must be fair.

Something like $20 million has already been spent on the investigation.

He is the most prolific serial killer in the world racking up higher numbers then anyone else to date. He has admitted to mass graves and he is suspected in the disappearence of dozens of prostitutes.

As far as Robert Pickton is concerned he was doing the world a favor.

BTW I know a guy in BC who lives near that farm and he told me Pickton had ties to organized crime as well but who knows if this is true or not.

Harold Shipman body count is about 250 dead.

Elizabeth Báthory had a body count that is in the high hundreds but nobody knows for sure.

Just two that I know of off hand. I bet there are more out there.

I was reading about this on line what a sad case. I know these women were drug users and hookers but no one should be killed for the way they lived their lives. This guy is pure evil how in the world do you do this to some one it makes me sick. I was on Canada's missing women sight and you can see each woman and read about their life very sad. It seem's like there is no real justice for evil monsters like him anymore.

He's confessed to killing 49......he told police he wanted to kill another to make it an even number.

It makes me really sad to see that people can kill in such massive numbers without being caught by the authorities sooner..
