Do you guys believe that after we die, will all the unexplained mysteries be revealed to us? Why? or Why not?
ND-DAVE
Yes. In my belief it is one of God's promises. And God always fufills his promises and vows.

No I don't think that. It seems too easy to me. I think we keep on living and dying is an enlightening experience but it isn't enlightenment itself. There is a saying I have faith in that goes: Death is no cure for ignorance. To learn all the mysteries of the universe takes a mighty effort of character change and psychological mortification. I don't believe that death is the end of all existence I believe it is just a change of worlds and quite possibly a change of worlds which we have seen many times over. Who really knows. But I have faith that I am an eternal soul that was never born and will never die and that one day I will be enlightened and that this is the destiny of all.

For good solid first hand information on enlightenment from someone we can prove actually did exist I suggest looking up Ramana Maharshi. He is my favourite mystic and Guru. Me personally being a christian have found that he is one the truest christians I have ever researched. Allah bless Ramana Maharshi! Anyway that is my input.

In a word: No. I think any belief like that is extremely arrogant and puts humans at a ridiculous level of superiority. A better question is, when we die.. do we deserve to learn all the answers to everything? That is the important question for now.

And would we want to? I find that mystery is beautiful. The essence of humanity is knowledge and the fact that we can never have enough knowledge gives us something to look forward to.

It's easy to wonder.. Why must we die? But the answer is that without death, life is meaningless.

Death is a beautiful thing in life...I say this cause it changed me (when my father died back in 2001). Everyday of our lives, some are afraid to die because they have something precious and valuable in life (such as money, items that were given generation by generation and etc.) that they don't want to lose. Fear is what builds character and leads to dangerous unsubjugatable decisions like crime/sins. Death is something we all have to accept. Death revolutionizes everyone around us. After death is something we all have to wait and see. Is it like when your asleep but without dreams? Do we really have a new life in this current world or somewhere in the galaxy? Do we become souls and fly around space or do we become stars? Do we see Jesus again or do we not?.....i can keep going but why waste time on asking questions that i will not find answers until my time is up? LIVE life, do whatever makes you happy but don't hurt others....LIFE=DEATH!

Without death, life is meaningless? I believe either way, that life has no meaning, with or without death; "we live to die". Think about it. Everything we do and all of our accomplishments will cease to matter to us anymore as we will cease to exist. Nothing in life is important. I don't know why humans were even created in the first place. I get a vibe that life has no purpose; whether I do this or that, it absolutely does not matter instead in the eye's of society. All of our actions are related to the norm of society, or religion. Other than that, life has no purpose. Thus, I believe that humans, terrified of this thought, created God to make themselves feel like they have something to live for.

Although I am non religious and only half believe in anything I favor the idea of reincarnation. You will keep on living through multiple lives until you find the mysteries on your own...enlightenment or whatever(Blame BNW for this he probably mind controlled me, bin awhile since I studied the eastern religions)My beliefs are flexible though.

I don't think God will tell us if Bigfoot is real or who killed JFK because by that time those unexplained mysteries won't matter...it will be more along the lines of "what is the purpose of everything" type of deal.

After the mind that wondered at the mysteries dies, nothing matters to be answered, at all. You're dead. The only time anything that mattered really did, is past you now.

I hope not, it would take all the fun out of the afterlife. I am sure we will know more than we know now. At least ya'll will know whether or not there is an afterlive. grin2.gif

^ That sums it up nicely! It is what I was going to say, but I don't think I would have said it as well original.gif

I very much agree with you there. I'm talking about a meaning on a human level though. It gives us a reason to want to live. Not everyone, no. I understand that, and I know that in reality, life does not have any meaning, no purpose, no reason or rhyme. But for a human, we need to have something to make us want to live better lives, and death is what does that.

But instead of saying all this stuff why not just tell us what your problem is?

it would be a rude awaking if after death that god is real and you had not known him. that would be the only unexplained mystery that would be explained and no longer a mystery

And yet that bit of news wouldn't be any such thing, because who would you tell!? wink2.gif
