Ok, I believe I posted this before, but I need to do this again. With more detail, as I don't know what else to do or to who else to turn. Ok, So after I moves to this new area in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, I didn't like this house from the start. I felt "unwelcome" in my own house. It all began with me seeing some stange stuff in the darkness of my kitchen as I am in the living room watching TV with no other light except the TV. I saw some black shapes, white "glowing" shapes, running across my floor in the dark distance. That was passed off by me thinking its the TV lighting, but one of those events changed my whole view of these "happenings". One day I was on the couch, and saw a shape dash across my kitchen out of sight, I was frightened, but ignored it, Immedeatly saw the back side of a dress run up my stairs with speed with NO sound. I looked up my stairs and saw a pale hand slide a across the railing and into my parents room. (Door was Closed) This Scared the hell out of me.

Woah, that is some scary stuff...

I see lots of moving shapes and shadows etc. in my room but they are rarely scary. Because I can choose to see them or not. The only scary thing is when I hear things moving in the kitchen when no-one's in it.

Can you show where windows exist in the living room and kitchen?
How high off of the ground is your tv screen?

Are you catching these objects out of the corner of your eye? Are they there even when looking directly at them?

The kitchen sightings are usually with the corner of my eye at first, but when I turn I usually see the end of the shape speed out of sight. It is close to direct view, but not quite.
As for other responces, I will have some photos of my house soon, which will show alot more details than my scribbled drawing!
Oh yes and my tv is about half a metre(?) off the ground, the floor is made of this parquette-like shiny wood. And the kitchen floor are black tiles, and further into the kitchen is the dining room, carpeted.

Anyways pictures soon to come, I will try to upload my orb video as well if I can. ( the camcorder is from another country as a present to me, and the charges are different)

Ok, here are my pictures, I hope you dont mind the two bad quality ones, I have NO idea what caused that. Ok, so in the living room, you can see my grandma on the couch, imagine that being me, and ahead, the kitchen, right now its still light outside, ill take pictures when its dark as well, but imagine the kitchen and room very dark. The picture where there are lines across the screen is the simulation of me looking upward when I saw the hand on my railing. And the wooden stairs are stairs to my basement, I do not dare take pictures down there or even GO down there... Scares the living poop out of me. I took that basememnt stairs picture to give an Idea of where I saw an orb as well. Hope you find time to give some replies.

Relax, close your eyes, breathe deeply, spend a few minutes visualizing light of a color that comforts you, and then ask Whatever Is There to show or tell you what is going on. Ask if there is anything you can do to help. Just listen and try to turn off your analyzer. Some people will advise you to cast all kinds of protection, but I think being too defensive may attract negativity. Just be secure in yourself and your boundaries-- you're you, and whatever they are, they are. Be confident in your right to be in your own home, and at the same time, be sincerely sympathetic and willing to help if need be.

If you get any impressions that you suspect could be "psychic," ask for some identification-- some piece of information that you do not already know and that you can verify later. It can come to you as words, pictures, whatever. Don't be afraid to ask for this kind of validation. In fact, don't be afraid, period.

BTW, the speedy blobs you describe have been captured on film. I've seen one in medium closeup, slow-motion, and it was real enough to cast a shadow. It was caught in very low lighting conditions zipping along a floor, kind of a lozenge-shaped, foggy blob, bigger than a rat but you'd probably think it was a rat if you caught it in peripheral vision. It zips in a straight line that way.

Ill try doing just that, maybe a little confidence is needed, it IS my home... So... Yeah... I will still post some more pics just for those interested in the paranormal topic. But meanwhile I will try to be a little less of a chicken.

I've seen those before... they used to startle me all the time, although I have never felt threatened or like they are something "evil". When we bought our first home, I saw these all the time, running around corners and at night hanging in groups in the darker areas... I felt like they were watching us sleeping! After a while I didn't see them as often, sort of like they settled down. lol I had a friend who sees spirits and "paranormal stuff" come to my house one day, and I immediately saw these "little shadows" start moving about. Well from the corner of my eye I see one dash under the table and my friend nearly fell out of her seat! She said "I hate it when they do that!" I said, "Who, what?"... She told me "the little ghoulie that just ran under the table!" (I never told her I saw it, or even looked at it) We laughed about it, and she told me there were three of them in the kitchen with us.

I thought it was something I imagined, or something wrong with my vision, but a couple of people have seen them before at the same time, including my kids who would turn and look towards one zipping by when they were babies. I don't know what they could be, and I've learned to live with it now.

Interesting, it seems now these are not so uncommon, huh?
I don't know if im feeling what I want to feel, but when I "confront" the fears of my house, I feel even more unwelcommed, just last night, when I was supposed to be taking night pictures of my house, I heard a voice from my right, half a metre away, and there is a wall half a metre away, it was a faint woman's voice saying something over and over. I though it was pipes or something but I knew it was right beside me. I just turned up some music and kept lurking the forums, it went away after but I kept hearing a bag in my closet moving around when I was in bed. I turned on the tv and tried to fall asleep with that, but those blasted "The Messengers" commercials kept creeping the hell out of me.(Lol) Anyways, I got a call this morning saying how my exam for english wasn't found by my teacher, thats why im up so early, im supposed to drive down there and hand it in... When I was getting up, I could have sworn I heard a voice yelling, and I mean YELLING as hard as someone could, yet I could hear it only as if it was coming from outside. Someone was yelling in a non human way. By saying that I mean yelling and making strange sound patterns, as in high pitch low pitch over and over. (Hope you understand what I mean) And finally the leasty frightening experience was a sighting of a black medium sized creature. I was on my computer, and I saw a black little thing "swoosh" right under my desk and into this opening which is very narrow. I don't know what to think of it, it seemed pretty natural, I think it might have been a mouse.

I am still planning to take more pictures, and try to upload that video of that orb. I am going to try to be more confident, and write some more on this later.

My wife and daughter (2 1/2 years old) seem to sense a presence in our apartment. Me, perhaps I'm just too tired from my two jobs to feel anything. Once I hit the pillow, nothing can wake me up except my wife's screams or her words telling me she just heard something.

Im not good at seeing or sensing things. I have tried to see whats in the apartment to no avail.

Your house does seem scary. And the fact that you saw a pale hand on the guard rail of your stairs leaves no doubt its a ghost.
"Shadow Beings" are usually dark objects you see moving out of the corner of your eye.

Thanks for keeping us posted. I find this one of the most interesting situations I've been able to follow online as it develops. I'm going to offer some observations and advice, but that's all they are, so please feel free to take or not take any part of it.

The fact that you are so spooked and scared tells me that today you need to adopt a totally new attitude towards death and the life beyond. I used to be spooked by it myself until I exposed myself to so much information about it that I basically flooded the fear away. Now it seems totally normal to me.

But you don't have time for a long process like that, and the good news is that you don't need it. Just start adopting a different attitude today. Death is not spooky or creepy or unusual. It's every single person's transition out of the physical life. It's not only normal-- it's universal. Forget the Hollywood education we're all subjected to.

When you hear or see these things, it seems to me that someone (maybe more than one) is stepping up efforts to tell you something. That's the shouting and all that. There's nothing bizarre about it-- just somebody who has a need to be heard and understood. Put yourself in their (admittedly nonphysical) shoes. You have something to say but no physical way to say it. The people who can hear you a little bit are scared witless, and they shut you out. That's frustrating. You're in a position to help this person (or these persons) by listening and understanding, just as you might listen to anyone who has a story they have to tell. When that information circuit is completed through you, all that energy dammed up behind it will flow out, and things will calm down and return to normal. It may even be that the "spirits" or whatever will realize, hey, it's 2007 and time to move on.

So listen, sympathetically, as a concerned friend would, and if they lack certain information (like it's 2007 and this is your house now), gently give them the truth.

Now, if anything violent or threatening comes across, say you don't have time or energy for such nonsense and end the conversation. Then we might need to entertain some ideas about getting help. But don't think of it in a spooky way. Think of it as calling security on a rowdy customer instead of handling it yourself.

Does any of this help? If not, we can try something else.

Well, to answer some questions, I do not live alone, but my siblings do not seem to tell me anything they experience, neither do I tell them. They all seem very stubborn-ish. Who ignore everything. They usually don't stay up as late as I like to, and late is when things start to happen.

Meanwhile I need to progress on the confidence theory, like boorite sudgests. I will try to make a conversation with these presences, although I feel as if it is not the right thing to do.

Also to answer MORE questions, this house is new, a bit over a year old, and we were the only ones who lives here. Although I did not like this area, this whole construction site from the start. It's almost as if (Being honest on my feelings now) This house is on or near a burial ground. Just had to say it, from the shows I have seen, and topics i've read, this is the first thing I thought of the house the moment I stepped in.

I hate to sound like those other people who just claim random things, but this is how I feel about my area. Just today, after coming back from handing in late assignments, I sat down and heard that SAME woman's voice I heard yesterday, same thing repeating over and over. I cant make out what it is, if I was to make a gues it would be saying "staircase out, someone there" over and over and over.

Ok, two more hours until I begin to take night photos of my house, whew this is going to creep the heck out of me...

Ok, striking a conversation did not work, I felt chills, mostly of fear, and was ambushed by silence. I then walked around the house got more chills flicked on all the lights and ran around the house looking for my my dog. But I did manage to take some pictures, I think I have found a face on the floor tiles, thats what I think, walked around the basement, took more photos, (With flash) so most are very light, not dark. I will explain my thoughts on the pictures. After I came back upstairs here, it got cold, and I mean COLD, like FREEZING, im sitting in a sweater as im typing this up.
Ok, so here are the photos... ( Don't Mind the furry beast you find on any of the photos, we like to call him the thing... He comes and goes, his name is bryan.. Love him. And dont mind the horribly messy computer desk, which has two science projects I never finished, don't look at them! They are highly classified!)

Ok now for seriosity, the picture of my kitchen from the top of the stairs, you can make out a face on one of the black tles, now I checked it out its not there anytime except when I took the photo. Keep that in mind. There is a reason the picture of one of the rooms is bigger, it is the basement room and is the creepiest room in the house, look at the glass reflections, it should be reflecting me, but instead, spikes? Or whatever those are?
The picture that disturbed me most, was the bedroom with the leopard sheets (Not real ). In the window reflection you can see a yellow/orange light, yet there was NO light around the house when I took some particullar shots, this was one of them, this disturbed me, I am viewing it to look for more interesting things.

Hope im not boring you guys to death here, im just trying to figure out whats going on, if anything. I am also going to do some research on the area I live in, maybe it used to be a cemetary? If it's even legal to build stuff over cemtaries... Which I think is not... What if it was ancient?

Also im sorry for getting my dog in some of the shots, he just can't be moved sometimes, and sometimes pops from nowhere, in this case he was following me around... Hope you don't mind.

The first pic that caught my attention was the first one you took of the green staircase, and I got chills from it again when I saw the second round of photos.

I'm a bit tired so I might not have followed all the details in your post, I'm sorry. The only advice I can offer you is to remember that you are strong and that you can be in charge of this thing. Think positively and don't be afraid.

Accidentally building on a graveyard is more common than I ever thought. The builing I'm sitting in at this moment was built on a graveyard. They only found out about it within the last 2 years. And it is not even very old, maybe 100+/- years. Westerners have not been in this area for much longer than that.

It's interesting that you didn't establish a rapport. That's OK. At least nothing attacked. Be patient and very still and meditative and try again when you feel ready. Try to feel for any impressions you get, even if they are vague. Let whatever is there know that you're listening if it has something to say, and you would like to help.

Ok, now I want to know how I can find out about history on my area, I can't find it anywhere, and yellowpages isn't much help, perhaps there is a site of some sort that keeps track of these records?
Since the area seems suitable for a graveyard, flatland in the neighbourhood, and a light downhill going into a park. This is mostly a calm area, about 5-10 minutes from any large streets.
So far the sightings have been at a minimal, I have seen again some shapes zip by here and there, but then again I see what I choose to see. So I think I am getting somewhere. I will find some bravery and sit in the dark, trying to talk to the presences, an offer for help.And can anyone tell me what could "staircase out, someone there" mean? I keep hearing this sentence everywhere, from my computer, to oustside my house, I think I even heard it from on the TV!! Or I could be hillucinating from that blasted Messengers commercial, it creeps the crap out of me.

Tommorow morning, February 2nd, is going to be the day I will try to offer help. If all goes as planned, as in, if all is calm.

I would like to bring up the topic of my crazed mother. She lives back in Russia, where I was born, and well, she isn't exactly normal, sanity-wise. My dad's girlfriend, who I trust, went to a fortune teller, because she had been experiencing shadow people looking at her while shes in bed. They come up and lean over her bed and look and stare at her. She went to the fortune teller, and she gave the exact names of the people responcible for those visitors, it was my mother, and my mother's mother, in turn, who is my grandma, also back in Russia. They went to some Voodo place and casted a "spell" of some sort, because my dad, not being technically divorced, is seeing another woman, even though my mom and dad dont like to be together. So I was wondering, if they cast a spell on her, maybe she cast one on me too? I don't believe in spells but what if? What if she cast it because I didnt tell her that my dad was seeing another woman... It would make sense. My mom, right now, is having big health related problems, she has been in the hospital for a while. And at home again, Then back to the hospital again... Seems she had a drinking problem... Ok, I won't make an essay, so I will post more tommorow Morning Feb.2nd. For now, good night.

hi i think your pics are cool and from the details you gave i think you might have a few shades and other spirits that have forgotten to do something and the fealing that you arent bieng watched is common in most cases because the spirits are getting use to you. im no expert on the subject but thats whay i think it is. please tell me what you think about my post i hate sounding like an expert but its hard not to sound like one when youve looked up thousands of pages on these things.

and these things are probably not used to living presences and thats why you felt like you were bieng watched.

Thanks, well, I was feeling more comftorable around here, but I had another sighting. I was in my basement, and I was vaccuming. Then after finsihing up, ready to go upstairs, I caught out of the corner of my eye an undeniable shape, of a woman, in a white dress, the dress had yellow accents, and I think she had black/brown hair, as I turned to see better details, she was gone, just like that. I know what I saw, it's hard to believe it wasnt real, the details seemed so real, I just can't believe when I turned to face her there was noone there. It's unreal to me. It is one of the strangest things I have ever seen. I stood there, said some positive things, but could not stay any longer. As I was walking up the wooden stairs, I felt she was at the bottom of those stairs, watching me, but this time the feeling of her being there felt less hostile. I could not turn to see, as I would burst like a little girl screaming if I saw her there.

Now I dare not venture downstairs, I am too frightened by that woman being there. I am now going to carry my camera around, and if I notice something, I will take a pic! Hehe, sneaky sneaky me!:P

If you mean the pic I took inside of my kitchen looking into my living room, and further you can see my front door? The Light near the door window is the flash from my camera, keep in mind, I took all the pictures in COMPLETE dark, so the only light source is my camera. Thanks for the reply.


Ok, so I am researching ghost sightings and all, trying to see if there are specific ghost classifications for shadow people, evil presences, good presences, etc.. Meanwhile I do that I wanted to ask if anyone here has had any similar experinces?

Keep doing what you did today and be ready to listen. She's different from a "shadow person" (which, if they exist, I don't think are human at all), and this doesn't look anything like any concept of a curse that I know of.

The way you describe your mother, though, is definitely the scariest thing I've heard on these forums for a long time.

You still sound very scared. Have you tried adopting a new attitude about death and the afterlife? Is it beginning to help at all? It may take some time to get completely over your fear, but you should be getting some relief right away.

I think you did a good thing today on the stairs. Keep doing that, and remember, the communication may come to you in the form of very subtle impressions that are difficult to tell from your own thoughts, so just sort of open up, let go, and see what comes. It doesn't sound hostile, but if it seems to threaten you, just stop and say "that's it, I'm not talking to you any more tonight." And then don't. If it bugs you, tell it to please go away and don't bug you.

As for research on the property, try the local public or university library, if there is one, and look for old fire insurance maps (usually Sanborn fire maps). Just ask at the reference desk-- they either have them or they don't. They may have other local maps of interest as well. You can also research the property through records like deed transfers and inspections filed with the city.

Or why not get a shovel and... OK never mind.

Well, I will eventually tell the spirit to leave me alone, it is my last resort before calling in a priest. But I see no reason to do any of those just yet, I am going to improve my attitude, for sure, and I am going to sit for ONCE without music so loud I can barely hear myself think. I put on music to tune out the voice if it ever comes back.

I don't know whether I need to get a shovel or not though! Don't want to aggrivate whatever is here.

I am going to go to a library as soon as I get a chance, and look for some of those records. But for now, I am actually going to turn off the music, and listen to what the presence has to say.

I am going to keep an audio recorder beside me though, for refference on this later on.
