i am just curious. . . why DO you beleve in god? has he been proven to you or did you just grow up going to that boring church and never thought twice about it. i am asking you now to question yourself. . . please just think about it for a few minutes.

I see little difference in your attempt at confrontation and conversion in comparison to that of fundamentalists.
I have no desire to debate or win a debate as to the existence of God, anymore than I wish to debate love vs biochemical processes.
I will answer your questions though and state that I was not raised in a church or by Christian parents, and that the existence of God was proven to me without the use of any written texts. I do not presume to know exactly what God is, other than a powerful sentience that cares for humans, anymore than I would presume to know all of the secrets of space. The industrial revolution and age of modern science only began yesterday and there is plenty of time to learn based on logic and unbiased reason rather than on what individuals "feel" because of a few texts that they have read or because of a religious or accademically correct philosophy that they have embraced.
