ok, i am no expert on this stuff by anny means but i stumbled on this by accident and dont know what to think of what i found. anybody got any suggestions as to what this may be?

But note that there is a line connecting the shadow to the object, which tells me that whatever it is may be on a pole. Perhaps its some sort of shade, a large umbrella, or even a radar dish of some sort.

It looks a lot like an umbrella. I mean, you'd never expect to see that near the surf on a tropical island!

here it is from higher up .............. noticw the buildings to the left. must be pretty big umbrella if you ask me?

i measured it big it measured 19.85 feet?
A really, really, really big umbrella?

Well I don't know what it is, I thought hot air balloon but I don't know. But what I see is the shadow don't seem to lay the same way as the shadow of the tallest thing I could find on the island in the same satelite pass as you can see the compass is exactly in the same place so... like I said I don't know what to make of it, its just what I seen. I changed the first image so to make the two photo's almost the same height, they are apart by one foot.
Interesting, but it does appear to be attached to the earth.
I agree it does seem to be attached to the ground and it does have six sides to it. I dont think ufo but what ever it is has got me. I would like to know what it is 'cause it is almost as big as the tower roof but smaller then the what looks like a big tent are something in the picture.
Couldnt it be some kind of lighthouse or tower? Considering it makes sense for there to be a lighthouse or tower near the shore to the sea.

You know you might have something there because the shadow is long and the black thing could just be a window that makes it look like something in the air attached to something skinny. when I pull the image really close there just might be washed out walls on the shadow side. Good call on that I like it. If you look at the other image I posted the round tent looking thing cast a very small shadow and its looks very close to the ground.
Could be a satelite dish, imtresting photo. why dont you email the pic to the fiji tourism board and ask them what is in that area
