In the concept of Chaos Magick there is a thing known as a servitor, a servitor is a servant of the magician who creates it, made for a single purpose and only that purpose, it is created through intense willpower and focus, and usually a skeletal sigil infused with energy, there is also a thing called an egregore, this is exactly the same as a servitor, but it is made fomr a group of people and is usually stronger, wether you believe this stuff is possible or not really doesnt bother me, but just pretned for a second that it is possible and listen to this theory. With all the people worhsipping and praying and giving energy off to these higher beings they think exist, it is possible that they could create an egregore in the image of this god. This would explain some of the claims that people have spoken with gods and goddesses, I know a man who claims to have spoken to the Egyptian God Anubis, and another who claims to have seen on of YHWH's angels, which shouldnt be possible since if YHWH exists there isnt any other gods, but the concept of egregores could explain it, any of the gods that get worship and praise could exist, though not as true gods, they would have the ability to control what happens after death, but they would be able to intervein in your life and help you. It wouldnt matter if they existed in the first place because the worshippers create them, the longer they have been given energy the stronger they get, because in Chaos Magick the longer you let a servitor live the more powerful and out of control it can become, so maybe the ancient gods such as Quetzocoatl (sp?) existed once, when they were worshipped, but since few or no people worship it anymore, its energy was depleted and it now doesnt exist anymore.
Wether you believe in Chaos Magick or not, you have to admit this ia an interesting concept to think aobut, and since you probably cant give any better explaination, you can at least admit there is a SMALL possibility that this could be true.

The existence of YHWH doesn't mean that other god-forms do not exist. Wanting to be the only one (and thusly convincing your followers that you are the only one) doesn't make it so.

Your idea makes about as much sense as any other. The thought leads me to this question. What about the supposed god-kings? Could a human become the focus of this egregore?
Ever read anything on the "Phillip" experiment?

I've heard of the Philip experiment. A 1970's experiment in which a group of people decided to get together and create a ghost, using their collective consciousness and focused on that intent.
Philip ghost

so im guessing you know somethings about chaos magick too?
It's a very fun theory but is it really that hard to just believe that the God doesn't actually exist, and people who claim experiences of such without proof are either lying or delusional? Makes much more sense to me. If they had somehow created these gods, I imagine we would know. Plenty of people claim you can summon up spirits and whatnot but in the end is there really any irrefutable proof? If it were that simple and possible, then why would I be doubting it? How many people would pass up the ability to make their own spiritual servant?

no, its not hard ot believe that at all, i personally dont really believe this theroy that i wrote, its just somethings that COULD be possible, along with the infinite number of other theroies out there, i personally agree that there is no such thing as a God
