I am hoping this is the correct forum, if it isn't apologies.

Quick question, someone asked me the other day "What does it mean if someone were to be married to the Moon Goddess" - personally I haven't got a clue what they were on about but said I would try to find out lol.

So does anyone on here know what that might mean?

I could be completely wrong, but what I know about it is this:

In Greek the moon is named Selènè. From that word comes the name "Céline".
Perhaps this man (or woman) is married to a girl named Céline.

That's what I think.

The Goddess in question may be Artemis.

QUOTE
The daughter of Leto and Zeus, and the twin of Apollo. Artemis is the goddess of the wilderness, the hunt and wild animals, and fertility (she became a goddess of fertility and childbirth mainly in cities). She was often depicted with the crescent of the moon above her forehead and was sometimes identified with Selene (goddess of the moon). Artemis was one of the Olympians and a virgin goddess. Her main vocation was to roam mountain forests and uncultivated land with her nymphs in attendance hunting for lions, panthers, hinds and stags. Contradictory to the later, she helped in protecting and seeing to their well-being, also their safety and reproduction. She was armed with a bow and arrows which were made by Hephaestus and the Cyclopes.

Lotus,

Was there any context within which the quote was used? It could mean quit a few things as I've found out through browsing the interweb. Haven't found the actual quote but some similar sayings refer to lunatics, sensitives or even virgins!

Knowing the quote context might help. Cheers.

I definitely agree with Staari, that's the first thing that came to mind; Wicca. But to be exact, I think the said person has dedicated themselves to Wicca or another religion based on a moon goddess. yes.gif

You all came up with good answers!

I went back to my friend and apparently what had happened was they went to a Medium for a past-life reading, who had said that in one life they were married to a Moon Goddess. When I told them about all your posts, the one they said they felt most "at home" with was the Wiccan thing - actually they said they felt like a light-bulb had gone on over the top of their head LOL!

So thank you very much everybody, me mates happy and I've learned something myself original.gif

What we call a "moon Goddess" means a gal with a nice booty.
