This first pic was allegedly taken in the 60s in the Yukon and submitted HERE a month or so ago with this info:

QUOTE
Woods near Faro, Yukon Territory, Canada, ca. mid-1960s. Submitted by CanuckChik, whose late grandfather took the pic on a hunting trip.
Some people claimed they could they could see a second bigfoot in the background, but in all honesty I couldn't see it myself. I could see what they thought was a 2nd face, but it just didn't look that way to me.

There was further info posted yesterday and a couple of new images:

My Uncle Jay heard through the family grapevine that I was asking lots of questions about that photo Grampy took of the Sasquatch, the same one I sent you. He sent me a pic of an old magazine where another of Grampy's photos was actually published, and he says he's pretty sure it was from the same hunting trip. It shows two of the creatures standing in the distance among the woods.

He said that Grampy put up with quite a bit of ridicule over the photos and his claims that they showed a Sasquatch creature and when the opportunity came up to sell them to the magazine he jumped at it. He was also pretty sure that Grampy submitted both photographs to the mag and wasn't sure why they published that one, or where the original might be.

So back to Nan's for the search. Turns out it was in the same pile of pics where I found the one I sent you. At the time I honestly didn’t even notice the two creatures, they are hard to pick out at first glance.

But they're definitely there.

I looked at the photo's....and while I'm NOT saying there is no "big foot"...I'm not saying there is. I believe that there is a possibility for everything....I just won't believe it unless I see it. I have seen many faked photo's of "big foot"...and I must say..these photo's are NOT faked.....but they're not of "big foot" they're just pictures of trees...and the product of overactive imaginations. (That's just my opinion though....)

Can't help but feel that we've broached this subject sometime before.......no matter......I don't see anything in those pics(besides the obvious plaster "Footy" casts) but tree bark and brush.
darkninja
The first pic, I dunno, could be real, could be fake. Looks pretty authentic to me. I studied it for a few minutes trying to see if I could put together where the face of the creature could be rocks or just the lay of bark or something. I couldn't do it. The hair could definitely be leaves or grass or something, but the face, I dunno. The second picture... it's just an article about some guy running into Sasquatch, so.... and the third... I can't even pick out where the creature is supposed to be. I suppose it is right where the first gap is on the left of the broken branch? Kinda looks like something squatting in the grass? I can't really make anything out, though.

Nice find, though. Definitely the first pic. That's about the best pic I've ever seen, although it is somewhat lacking in detail because of being in black and white. But... Kudos nonetheless...

It seems like the only objects in the pictures that offer any evidence of bigfoot are the plaster casts of the feet, but they seem too perfect and unrealistic for me to buy it....The pics of the branches and limbs really don't prove anything to me.....I just don't see anything that can't be explained by a natural tendency for people to see faces in things. The surrounding grasses and tree limbs are the same consistency and shade as the area that resembles a profile.
snuffypuffer
The only picture I see anything at all in is the first one, and even that took me a couple minutes. And even then, it just doesn't look right to me. I mean, it looks clear enough, but the hair just seems to be part of the grass and foliage. And besides, the bigfoot is on a lower level than the photographer, and only a couple feet away. The angle just seems wrong to me.
Leonardo
The 'head' in the third photo doesn't appear to have the occipital crest commonly reported in BF sightings and the first, well the facial features just don't seem right. The eye socket looks too large although that could be the angle of the photo.

While they are good photos I'd go with branches etc creating the illusion of a creatures' head.
Saard
The first picture is great. Looks like a bloke in a wig or a very ugly woman.
It's also easily done without the need for a big-footed primate to pose for you.
Oh, for a good photo! Whoever started the precedent for these kind of pictures to be grainy, distorted, ambiguous and eminently fakeable should be shot in the face. Twice.
With regards to the magazine, you have to wonder that since the first picture is so much better than the second, why wasn't that one used?
Possibly because it was done later, by someone with too much time on their hands.

Hey Onyxdk,

Just kick it for me. There is a footy in the background.

As much as i believe there is a BF out there somewhere, I have to say picture's like this really don't prove anything for me....I think it's going to take a body or some really good hair sample's for us to prove this animal is real.......Picture's are just to easy to fake with the technology we have in this day and time.....

I've never known what to think of bigfoot, although my grandmother had a pretty interesting story that's always stuck in my mind.

My grandparents owned a 1000 acre sheep ranch in rural north eastern Washington, their property bordered on Canada.

My grandmother was a serious woman, shy, educated (she received a BA in history from SD University (?) in like 1934 or so), and she swears up and down that she had a "close encounter" with something she could only lable as a bigfoot or a Yetti.

She had been out on a little mini bike in 1970 in the winter, with the border collie rounding up some sheep to move them down to a lower pasture to keep them away from some coyotes that had swarmed into the area. She was riding down a little dirt road and Pickles the collie FREAKED turned and bolted the opposite direction... this wasn't normal behavior for her. Not more than a few seconds later, a 7' WHITE yetti-like creature came up in front of grandma at the crest of the hill no more than 15 feet in front of her. It stopped, looked at her for about 10 seconds, and grandma swears it turned and rolled itself up into a crouch or ball and tumbled into a ravine on the other side of the road. She said she was so stunned she couldn't get off the bike for a few seconds and when she finally did and peered into the ravine, she could hear something in the brush, but couldn't see anything. She did get grandpa to go back and look for tracks with her, but it had already snowed enough to cover whatever would been there. Poor Pickels the collie didn't arrive home for almost 2 days--she had been badly scared.

Normally, I'd write this off as a flight of fancy, a hallucination or an active imagination, but she really didn't have any of those things going for her. She certainly wasn't prone to making up stories, nor was even much of a talker for that matter. When she told me the story, grandpa had to pry it out of her.

I don't know, I suppose it could have been anything, but what's white and 7'+ tall? Heck, what's white and 5' tall and furry?

^7'tall,white and furry? very ugly pelted hunter. 5'tall white and furry? that's his lil brother...
BigDaddy_GFS
Sorry, but I can't see anything but trees in any of these photos.
talkingmongoose
i can see something in all three: the first a sort of red thing in the background the seconds obvious and the third i can see something just left of centre but it just might be me looking to hard.

I couldn't venture to guess... all I know is that she was no more than 15 feet from whatever it was and it was nothing she could explain. I'm not generally prone to believing in ghosts, chupacabras, ufo's or space aliens... because of grandmas experience and knowing the kind of woman she was... bigfoot of all stupid things might be the one thing that I MIGHT believe is out there.

Thank you for your Grandmother's story, I believe.

As for the picture's, I'm sure your Grandpa saw what he saw.

What we need people to do when they go out into deep country is to wear a camera as a necklace, so you can take instant shots. People need to be prepared for a photo-opt whenever possible. Oh and don't forget to take baggies so you can get hair samples, etc.
We'll catch that Big Daddy one day, I know woo-hoo!

Oh, I don't know that I "believe" per se... I mean this is a strange area of North America, and I really do think it could have been anything. While the area is remote and wild, it's not as empty as one might imagine. At the time, there was a Rainbow Children commune in the area, several Anabaptist (mennonite/amish) families, a few weirdo (and scary) survivalists, and the occasional Colville Indian wandering through. I can't imagine anyone would want to play a trick on her though, she wouldn't have been a good target for a joke, nor would anyone have wanted to alienate her since she and grandpa were kind of the "clearing house" for anyone needing any modern conveniences like a phone, truck, or even a place to stay in bad weather... I've just never been able to put a theory to what she saw... the only thing I can come up with is a bear on its hind legs, but bears certainly aren't white that far south!

The story just seemed so strange and it resonated with me because grandma was really quite realistic, pragmatic, methodical, and had very little imagination. She was a painter (her degree was in art), but she painted nothing but realistic images of farm animals, pastorals and the rare still life. However, her skill as a trained artist, one that pretty much painted what she saw, I think lends credence to her description of what she saw--she was used to observing details and trained to do so.

It doesn't mean she saw bigfoot, but she saw something, I just can't figure out what and neither could she.

Oh, this reminds me of something else.... occasionally, there would be geologists in the area doing tests on some of the neighboring national forest lands and once in a blue moon one would show up on grandma's doorstep claiming something "green" and humanlike had popped up out of the swampy skunk cabbage area to the west... this always cracked us up since we KNEW what that was.... there was positively insane survivalist who we used to call "Skunk Man" who lived in that area and his whole goal in life was to scare the hell out of people and do whatever necessary to keep them off of his property. But even he turned up at my grandmothers cabin 2 or 3 times needing help of some sort. (he was SEROUSLY stinky and could easily have been mistaken as a swamp monster! haha)

The seven foot tall white thing tucked and rolled away? Or did it drop to all fours and walk like an animal?

She said it purposely tucked and rolled, not dropped to all 4's. It was on a road where there was a ravine to the left, and a slope up to the right... the road was like a switchback logging road, but it wasn't a logging road--it was just an access road that connected their ranch with one other ranch owned by some Mennonites who ran a general team work farm.

I dunno.. I've always wondered though.
snuffypuffer
That's crazy. I can't think of any animal that balls up and rolls away. Like a rolley polley, only about a thousand times bigger and furry. Did she get a good look at it's face? You said it looked right at her for a few seconds.
MissMelsWell
All she could say was that is was big, 7' (she herself was 6' tall) and white and wasn't a bear, which many years later I equated with being a "yetti". I'd imagine that she'd heard stories of bigfoot, it was afterall quite a popular myth in the mid-70's and 80's for Washington state. She didn't tell me the story until about 1978, some 8 years after she saw it. I'd have been roughly 13 or 14 when she told it to me. It was quite obviously something she didn't want to talk about, but then again, she wasn't keen on talking about much of anything anyway, unless the topic was canning, art, sheep, cattle or horses--which is probably another reason it stuck in my head.

Curled and tumbled were the words she used... knowing her and her utter lack of imagination, I believe that's exactly what happened. *shrug*
snuffypuffer
I dunno man, that's odd behavior. I've never heard a bigfoot story where it curled and tumbled. Maybe she didn't want people to think of her as a kook, was she the type of person to care what other folks think?

Personally, I don't think there's a such thing as footie, but there's always gonna be a few stories that dont' add up and go on the "real weird fact" pile.

That's kind of where I'm at with it... "real weird". I'm not much of a believer in footies either.

She really wasn't the type of woman to really care what anyone thought of her, at least as far as I could tell. It was never a story she freely told anyone either. She told me and my folks... if she told any of their remote neighbors, I never knew about it. If I had to guess, the "neighbors" were engrossed in other stories that originated from "Skunk Man" and other weirdo's in the area. The Rainbow Children were a real nuisance from what I can recall.

So ya, I don't think she really cared what people thought of her, I don't think it ever really even occured to her to that people might think one way or another about her---in their small backwater area, she was the pillar and rock of their backward but diverse community. In her mind, she was just a simple sheep rancher and a sometimes painter, that was all. She was a bright woman though. After her death several years ago, I was awared the water and mineral rights for the ranch, which was sold in the late 80's, but somehow she'd managed to retain the water and mineral rights after the sale of the property. She was no dummy. Personally, I think "Thar's Gold in them thar hills!" hahahha--probably more than there is a bigfoot or a yetti... but who knows.
snuffypuffer
Well, what I'd do then is pack up for a "mining trip" with some shovels and tents and what not and see if I couldn't find me a big white fuzzy rolly guy. Be sure to take your camera. And a tripod, maybe. And focus, for chrissakes! laugh.gif

Hey group, i new to this a bit, but i was looking at the pic that were downloaded, and i think i found something new. I saved the pic and i outlined what i saw with a red circle. I think i see a head behind a log, with what looks to be eyes, a nose and the start of a mouth. Also i see something that looks to be another head to the right of the one i circled. Now i didn't read what everyone wrote about these pics, but this is what i saw. I hope im not seeing things. Thanks
mr_crypto
Does anyone know how to add pics on this thing?
mr_crypto
OK i got it figured out, here it is!

I think it's just a matter(in the case of these pics) of those who have a desire to see something, doing just that...kinda like looking at clouds...or inkblots, IMO.
