If man is supposed to have evolved from apes how come apes are still not evolving into humans now?
evolution I'm afraid you have misunderstood the evolution of man. Man did not evolve from apes. Man and ape evolved from a common primate ancestor.
Regardless, though, it is entirely possible for a species to evolve from another, and the original species still continue to exist. There are a few different methods in which this occurs, but probably the most common is through isolation. A single species is split into two groups by some sort of barrier, possibly geographical, social, or pretty much anything that would keep the two groups from continuing contact. This means that one group can develop a mutation that would eventually lead to speciation without affecting the original group, which would result in one new species descended from the original speciies, and the original species, who remained as they were.
