user posted image rA pack of ghost hunters got into the fundraising spirit by swapping their usual Friday night out for a spooky sleep over in a haunted house. The fearless four, who all work in the Express advertising office, faced their worst nightmares – and a few ghosts as well.To raise cash for leukaemia charity, the Anthony Nolan Trust, they braved a night's stay at the frightening Bolling Hall in Bradford, which recently featured on TV show Most Haunted Live. And Michelle Austerfield, 35, Kyrie Gordon, 20, Nicola Oldroyd, 20, and Hannah Bradbury, 21, all lived to tell their frightening encounters.Miss Austerfield said: "I saw two ghosts – one was stood right next me, his face next to mine, but what scared me most was a black shadow I saw creeping up one of the walls – that was terrifying."When we first got there, I thought to myself that the only spirit I wanted to see was the kind you get in a glass."And workers from Wakefield college – Karen Marshall, executive PA, and Anita Chalmers, reception assistant – also joined the spooky goings on.

Mrs Marshall said: "We did lots of seances in pitch black rooms where you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. "And occasionally the odd unexplainable sound would come from the corner of the room, or a feeling of someone stood right in front of you. This sent a chill up my spine."

The black shadows are the creepiest of all to see. A few days ago, I was in my kitchen, and I saw what I thought was my husband coming from the lounge and going down the hall. I clearly saw the shadow of legs going past me. My husband was still in the lounge when I asked him if he came through the hall.

I don't believe that the black shadows are necessarily bad, or anything to really fear. We usually will always relate a dark shadow to something evil. I think it's just another form the spirits show themselves in. I myself have seen one right before me in my room and had no feelings of fear where as I have felt just a presence near me and sensed a very ominous feeling. Interesting story though, of course because it's a tv show you have to question whether or not it's just for show, could easily be fake stories and whatnot. The only way to really know is to find out for yourself hmm? wink2.gif

Hi SaRuMan :-)

This is exactly why I wouldn't want to be a paranormal investigator. I know a lady who is a member of the Northwest Paranormal Society and she told me she was going through the Oregon Shanghai Tunnels and she felt someone pull her hair, and noone was behind her. I told her "No, thank you. I think I'll stick to researching." grin2.gif
