It's true..the aliens are coming. and their bringing the potato salad
Ummm - potatoe salad?? Are we the "main course??"
Humor aside -
I guess I have to ask HOW MANY TIMES DOES IT TAKE BEFORE THESE IDIOTS LEARN THEIR LESSON???
There is an old quote that I enjoy very much - "Learn from other's mistakes. You will not live long enough to make them all yourself."
So let's see:
... Aliens were suppose to rescue us when Y2K hit. That we did "not plan w/enough forsight".
Well actually I think the conspiracy was w/the computer industry. Sell as much as they could before Y2K - cause after words, the 'ride of fear' will be over. The computer marked too a small 'crash'. I mean this fear was 'sold' so well - that people didn't even stop to actually think: One lady brought her vacum into the computer store I was working at P/T to see if it was Y2K ready. I took it to back of the shop, vacumed a large area that needed vacumed. Handed it back to her and said,"It'll be just fine." "How much do I owe you??" "Nothing mam, Y2K vacume service is free." A boy-scout was selling wall calendars. I thumbed through it and asked, "Is this Y2K complient??" He looked at me and answered, "I didn't asked!" took it back and went out the door before I could tell him I was just joking... sigh........ But NO Alien help......
... Then we had the Ms. Nancy Liederman (sp?) and her May visitation of alien planet. Ooops May came and 'they' didn't. So it was moved to JULY. Ooops, July came and 'they' didn't. Ooops.
... Then last May (what is it about May??) We were told about the comet frag that was going to HIT the Atlantic Ocean and wipe out the Eastern Coast Line.... OOops.
... Then we were told on this Forum, December was going to be a BIG ALIEN CONTACT, with a 'few' ships. Oooop.
And there are other's I'm sure - So what happens at the End of April and May comes and NOTHING HAPPENS??? And nothing will - this is all for attention and $$$. Nothing more. So when is enough - enough???
I think the OLD Testiment had it right: "If some prophicied something and it didn't happen: They were killed." Sure cuts down on this crap, now wouldn't it. "They" would think twice and be really really sure - for there WOULD BE A COST. I do NOT advocate killing them - but there SHOULD BE A VERY COSTLY PRICE for being wrong in this focal point. So these dudes/duddettes think TWICE before they open their mouth. Say they LOOSE EVERYTHING - $$$, Homes, Cars = well EVERYTHING. That would be a 'nice price'.
