Sightings
Submitted By Spaceblondegirl
My mother and I were driving home from her friends house, which is located out in the country. We were coming to a stop sign, when I noticed my mother looking out the front window with her mouth wide open. We came to a stop, and she pointed through the window at something. When I looked out, I couldn't believe what I saw. Just over the hill by a farm house, only about 1/3 of a mile away, there was a huge disk hovering above a line of pine trees. I remember it having orage lights around the middle, with a bluish white light coming from underneath. We opened our windows to listen to it, but it did not make any noise. We sat there for 10 minutes and just watched it. I asked my mom what it was..she said it looks like a UFO. About 3 days later in the local paper it was reported by more than 5 different people that seen the same thing we did. This is the time I knew we were not alone in this universe.

Very cool. It's stupid for us to think that we are the only ones on the universe!

It was a life changing experience for me ohmy.gif

I have had one other ufo sighting in my life, but it does not compare to my first.
The other was, my husband and I were sitting on our front porch about 11:00pm, when we noticed an orange light in the sky, darting back and forth at speeds I have not seen. We watched it for almost 30 minutes, before it disappeared.

Oh, 1982... nevermind.

No ofense here but it has been proven that if you were in an event and other people talk about it that you might mix up what you saw and what other people saw so you might remember seeing things you never actually saw. not the fly saucer itself but details like the orange light or where it was.

I should of stated in my sighting report that we did not live in Earlham, Iowa. It was my mothers friend we were visiting, we were on our way home from Ames, Iowa, and stopped for a visit. We lived over 2 hours away from Earlham. So, we didn't find out that it was published in the local paper, as a police report, for almost a week or more.

I can tell you one thing though.....We watched this thing for awhile, and I know for a fact "What I saw is what I saw", and there's nothing I can add to that. It wasn't from reading the police report, they didn't give to many details, just the shape and the size and how fast it was moving. Our sighting of this was when it was not moving. We told my father, my sisters, my brother ect. exactly what we seen that night, almost a week before the police report came out.

I never heard my mom ever mention UFO in our house before that day. After this happened it was something that changed not only me but her as well. So for you to say what you did, is an insult to my intelligence and my mothers. Sorry for taking what you said personally, but this is something I know I seen with my own eyes and will always remember. sad.gif

Dear Spaceblondegirl:

From one Iowan to another, I believe you. Thanks for the story. Thanks for not embellishing but just giving us your account.

I don't know what you saw. I have never had such an experiance. Somehow, I do believe that it(meaning: another life form, another reality in our vast universe is possible.)

It was good of you to share your interesting experiance.

Thanks

It has been my experience that when someone disregards as false what another says without first checking all the facts, it is usually out of fear. Don't be afraid of what you don't know or haven't seen. I believe what Spaceblondegirl says verbatim, because she was there and I was not, and there is no proof to the contrary.
king of the moon
well it can happen. I said i believe her to shed more light on the subject. Btw i have seen a ufo and i did know what i saw (i am not ignorent speaking in general) nor is anyone who makes Allegations it can be true. But some people lie and some people don't. grin2.gif

Of course, however; there is always the possibility that when someone 'disregards as false what another says without first checking all the facts' they are just employing their good common sense. ph34r.gif

Sorry to say JOC that SENSE is not as COMMON as some may think.

Statistics show that one out of every six people need psychiatric help.

And some of them are Psychiatrists! yes.gif
BlueUSA
i haven't had any encounters with UFOs but i belive in extraterestials. from other accounts that i believe are true alien.gif
ROGER
I have found that most people don't see UFO's , Aircraft, or Hot air Ballons until at least one person LOOKS UP IN THE SKY and says "What the h--- is that. Everyone is to busy driving to fast, talking on cell phones, or just watching the Girls. The one UFO I seen my wife pointed out to me, and it flew low over our heads. I would have missed it had she not been with me. wub.gif
