Sorry listen to XM radio, never heard of this Ooscar fellow. I doubt if he were real he'd be on a call in show though.

laugh.gif Do people really still listen to Coast to Coast? haha.

"Oscar" has been a regular caller into Coast to Coast since the early 90's. He actually started calling before C2C was a paranormal show. Yes, prior to being a paranormal format, it was a politics and current events show. Art Bell hosted it, and he dropped the format around the time Rush Limbaugh got really popular and the OJ trial was the top news story. He decided that there were too many current events shows and switched the entire format for C2C over to paranormal topics.

But back to Oscar... Oscar used to call into the show (which has no call screeners but does use the 7 second delay) and rail on Bell about his politics and even back then he called himself the Son of Satan (he actually used to be more articulate than he is now). I don't think he's a fabrication of C2C, he's a real caller, and he really loves to hassle the hosts. Any other show he wouldn't make it on the air, but because of C2C's lack of screeners he regularly gets through along with a bunch of other regular crackpots. It's fun show to listen too if you want a really good laugh. It's currently hosted by someone else now.

I quit listening right around the time one of Art's regular guests was Richard Hoagland... that guy is a crackpot. I liked listening to some of the other guests like Stanton Freedman, but after a few interviews, even he refused to do the show anymore because Art liked to cater to the nutcases more than talking to the folks who had something of substance to say.

laugh.gif Possessed Manure. That's great! You're right, you can't get this show in Oz unless you have XM Satelite Radio.. it does run on XM.

Is it streamed over the internet?

I honestly don't know, I've only listened to the show a handful of times in the last several years. You can check their Web site though:

XM is Satelite radio (SIRIUS is another brand/network of satelite radio as well)... you need a special radio to hear the programming.
