Hey all.

Just wondered if anyone is involved with tape trading? I ask because I have just recently taken up this hobby. Of course I am talking about bootlegs of concerts etc, but only for the sole purpose of trading them and NOT selling them! Selling bootlegs is piracy, and morally wrong as it's profiting at the band/artists' expence. Trading tapes is OK though, as it's sharing music for free, and most bands do not have a problem with the trading of bootlegs. Currently I have several Maiden boots, a couple Carcass and Immortal boots and a couple other random boots and demos. I'm actually hoping to acquire some Misfits boots aome time.

So does anyone do this weird and interesting hobby?

I see nothing wrong with tape trading; as a Mystery Science Theater 3000 fanatic I know what tape trading and circulation can do to boost the popularity of a certain medium. Just ask Mike Nelson.. yes.gif

I have also burned cd's from my computer to help bring more PHISH into people's lives. Y E M

I will trade you two rolls of scotch tape for one roll of duct tape.
