Going to be serious for a moment.

Recently a loved one (one of a very few) died and I've been having dreams about them every night since their death.

The dream is usually very random...taking place in any and every environment though the end result is always the same...them approaching me or chasing down and as always I am always running as if this loved one could propose a threat...the dreams always end with me waking in a sweat, shaking almost uncontrollably until I get my bearings.

I'm wondering what this could mean? I'm interested in both psychological and spiritual advice.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Mad Manfred
PS. I really haven't slept much in two weeks, so really, any and all advice would be appreciated as to how or why this seems to be bothering my subconcious so much.
Please Explain

Perhaps your subconscious mind is trying to say you kept yourself to distant from this person. That is what I got from the running fromt them even though they are a loved one, maybe you feel that you should have spent more time with them, or that you somehow drove them away from you and have regret for it. Any of this sound like anything that happened?

Maybe as simple as things left unsaid that either you or they wish now had been said. Write out the things you left unsaid, imagine thier response and write that too. Burn the page(s). Maybe in symbolizing that being sent to them and removed from you, the guilt will go with it.

We all have to find our own way to make peace with things unsaid, not done when we lose a loved one, that works for me, just a bit of a head game you play with yourself, but if it helps then that's what matters.

I don't mean to offend but maybe you're feeling some kind of guilt, thinking you could've been nicer to them when they were alive. It's all psychology and it plays a very important role on your subconscious mind. Think of good things about them and the good times that you've spent with them.

After my father died, years ago, my brother had dreams similar in nature to yours, perhaps because he'd been very emotionally attached to him. Dreams like our father's zombie corpse coming back to him, my brother running away which began pursuit sequences. I think the dreams meant that the dream character of our father had unfinished matters to discuss, and my brother's fear short-circuited the process.

I on the other hand, had had a very cold and non-loving relationship with him, and only ever dreamed of him twice after he was gone. Though both dreams were extra weird.
