have any of u there heard of Loch Naw Castle?
well this is what i know
it was the home of the agnew family, it is near stranraer (sw Scotland) and if u go there u can feel the evil
so our story begins......
Sara lived in a large city in england and was born with severe asthma, and doctors advised her parents to move into the country, or she would not live long, so her father took on a job as a stable man at ... loch naw castle... the rules were as follows
children should not be seen or heard, pets were forbidden, women were equal to animals and should be given no more respecet and dr agnews word was final
unhappy but desperate to work sara's father kept working and things seemed reasonable until the agnews decided it might be best to send sara her sister and her mother to australia?
seems strange eh?
not when they realised that the agnews were the leaders of a cult which kept the men in scotland and sent the women to australia to keep power over the whole family
it seems a bit far fetched eh...
well read on
there were few people to live on the property not in connection with the cult but one was a gardner, who was a good catholic widower who wanted to end his days keeping himself busy
(sub story now about to start)
the gardner had two things in his life which were dear to his heart, a crucifix which hung on his wall, and a photo of his wife in a silver frame.
when he came in from work often the crucifix would be face down on his chest of drawers, one day annoyed at this he went and questioned dr agnews wife (the lady of the castle) and asked if she could not touch his possesions, he did not have much and what he had he wanted left alone.
it happened again and again and then he thought it was time to say something again, when he did he was mocked by mrs agnew and told that it was her house and he she would do as she pleased and that he should not believe in such things as the crucifix.
that night he went missing and was never seen again
the agnews said he had had differences and left of his own will, yet his crucifix, photo of his wife, wallet and all his clothes were still in the room.
(back to main story now)
sara's father thought that the perfect way to make life more bearable would be to buy the girls a shetland pony, wrong move, although the agnews did make some money from the riding school which was attatched to the castle (which i did attend incidentally but my story comes later) they did not think a shetland pony was acceptable as it was more pet than function so sara's father came out one morning to the pony gutted and hanging from a tree, when he questioned dr agnew about the incident, he replied that the animal deserved what it got as it was no use to anyone. (nice man eh)
at this point sara's family decided to move.
soon after the stables went up on fire...
(second sub story)
there was an old maid who had worked in the castle for years and it was written in her contract that when she retired as a thankyou for her years of servitude she would recieve a small dwelling attatched to the castle for the rest of her days...
which was not as long as expected. sara's father had often told dr agnew of the terrible condition of the cottage and how the elecrical works desperately needed work as they would cause a fire anyday, which they did, one night causing the old lady to die along with many horses.
but the old lady left her mark first, usually in a fire your skin seals as u may have seen on people with bad burns, however in this case the old lady had got so hot her blood vessels began to pop with the heat causing blood to explode from her all ove the wall on the way to the castle to alert everyone as to the fire, she died on the way.
(main story again)
sara's family left and did not go back until, one day years later when her father recieved a phone call from dr agnew requesting his appearance at the castle one more time...
now during these years the agnews had run into some trouble, the cult which once flourished had fallen sshort of funds. the riding school teacher had escaped (no mean feat i may tell u, she was australlian and brought over by the agnews as a source of income to run the riding school, although she got no income of her own, just the privelage of being allowed to stay in the castle) the cult was getting no new members due to its extreme beliefs (such as if u kill someone then u have done no wrong because they were weaker and allowed themselves to be killed proving u r the stronger man) and also they ran out of money because of their extreme spending habits, everything was very old world and wine was bought by the keg and flour by the sack, no pictures on the walls only antique wall hangings.
human sacrifices happened, ritual rape, it was like a film but worse, but eventually the past caught up with them, with no money it all ended rather suddenly, no more members meant an old man and woman in an old house with nothing but thier old ghosts to haunt them.
so sara's dad did go to the castle to see the old dr and when he arrived he found a sight he could not believe, an old frail man sitting on a wooden box in an empty house with the debt collecters taking the last of what was there, then came a plea, dr agnew said to sara's father 'i have wronged you and im sorry, take what u will, but take something as an appology' sarah's father finally found pity on the old man and took some small momento from the man who could harm him no more.
soon after the media exposed the cult destroying the family further
strangely though thats not where the story ends. sara had befrended an old minister in the surrounding area who died in a boating accident and in his will he left sara an old kirk, not much of anything to look at just a few bits of wall really but she was excited none the less, anyway her father was fascinated by it and began excavating it and finding out as much as he could. one day he came across a cellar which no one had been in for many many years and came across the strangest item, a brand new book on cults in scotland, yet published in australia, referring many times to the agnew cult....
someone playing a joke some may think yet no
no one knew of all the connections except for me and another and we were told of this after it happened
make of it what u will but its all true.
now for my story
two of my friends and i were on a run in the car one afternoon, and decided after seeing the agnew family grave in leswalt to go to loch naw castle as i had not been in years, so we went and the first thing i noticed was how immaculate the place was kept even though no one lives there anymore and we got out the car to have a look around, now as strange as it seems the first thing to catch my eye was in one of the windows i spied a pictue, of a lady in a wedding dress, who was this lady because no one had owned the castle since the agnews and no such item would have been allowed to be put up in there day.
anyway as i could feel the evil in the air i decided we should leave but as we did my friend picked a small bunch of forget me nots from under the window where the portrait hung. on our way along the road on our way home frances took her eyes off the road and we ended up in a ditch
it took two tow trucks to get us out of the ditch and when they did the engine went up in flames, not good, so anyway we went back to the garage with the car and the mechanic asked if we wanted anything out of the car so when i went to get the stuff that the man had put on my seat under it all was the bunch of forget me nots, and i dont think i ever will forget the story. the car in no way had been at an angle for those flowers to end up in the front but they did, and i think it was a message from the place itself, to always remember what had happened.
it does sound far fetched, even i think that but if u want to see it yourself its still there and see if u can feel the evil for yourself cos its there to feel
p.s. there is a small island on the loch, unless u love nothing but dead birds dont go anywhere near it, oh and dont get lost exploring the land, its very extensive and easy to get lost in, or to hide a body in if u catch my drift...
anyway if u do go u can be sure of one thing, ill NOT be there
happy ghost hunting people
