Good article Nancy, and I thought my family was odd, with trying to make me eat Aunt So-and-So's inedible surprise casserole. Cold shrimp, macaroni, and mayonaisse just do not go together, I don't care how good my mom says it is. At least nobody ever hit on me. But the turkey is usually just right, albeit there are usually too many people around my thanksgiving to have much in the way of turkey leftovers. And the cold turkey sandwiches the day after is the best part crying.gif

Anyhow, another good one, Nance. thumbsup.gif

original.gif aah yes the shrimp. I forgot. I'm so used to saving the dolphins...
And to add to the holiday spirit. My dad made the gravy once, and actually ground turkey bone and put in in for extra calcium or something. wacko.gif My parents were divorced at the time, so my mom told him to relax and have a beer, while, they strained the gravy.

What a picture that conjures up. laugh.gif

My mother, an excellent cook I'm glad to say, once managed to bake a spoon into a cake and on one occasion burnt a jelly (jello?).
