That's one realistic looking space station...
Interesting concept... I am curious if anyone familiar with engineering and physics would be able to comment on the probability of that being possible. I would imagine that a magnet strong enough to pull it out of the atmosphere would be so heavy it would counter the strength of attraction. The rockets would potentially solve that dilemma, I suppose, but even so I couldn't imagine a structure so long and tall would be even remotely stable. We're talking about a vertical subway tunnel, more or less. Also, weather factors would certainly cause complications and imagine if a plane or some other object flying through the atmosphere collided with it. You'd have miles of metal and magnet falling over a very large area onto whatever was unlucky enough to be beneath it. ouch!!
I like the idea though. Very interesting concept, can't imagine it being possible, but I wouldn't know.
