I reckon <takes deep breath> that it will be anything you wish it to. You will only be on your own vibration and there will be harmony. I also believe you could for instance, eat tons of choccie without getting fat (now that really would be heavenly LOL). You could probably do any sport, hobby, work, meet likeminded souls, party - God it's probably limitless

I bet it also depends on what you were like on Earth though, if you were a mass murderer for instance, maybe being with likeminded souls on the other side would mean they were hunting you, maybe that's part of what people like to call hell.

Heaven is probably whatever you expect it to be... definitely like the idea of chocolate with no weight gain.

I'd like to think it's Bright and sunny with lots of nature and landscapes,flowers,forests.Is there animals in heaven?

If heaven exists I hope it's anything you want it to be. I'd like to be in some place with waterfalls and mountains and lots of green grass/plants etc. Thats what growing up in the Valley does to you though. I suppose I still want heaven to be a bit like this world..only prettier

I'd be happy if heaven was like the part of the world where i live but without: mortality( death) and pain. I guess to achieve this you would also have to eliminate the "sins" which bring these conditions. So without: hate, envy, greed lust etc. Maybe i am getting old, but i reckon the earth as is, but without the "sins', would be close enough to heaven for me. Oh, and there would have to be room for dogs and cats as well (not so much for me, but my wife would not want to come with me, if they weren't there).

Ever see the movie What Dreams May Come? I would like to think that heaven looks like that.

after the tribulation period there will be a 1,000 years where heaven comes down to the earth. man will live here on earth with jesus. children will be born because the bible says that after the 1,000 years satan will be turned loose for a short while to gather who he can. so you will be living here on earth for the 1,000 years. after that satan and any of his followers will be cast into the pit forever. with him will go all sin, and the ones left here will live sin free forever.

Yep, I've seen it. It's a pretty depressing movie, But i think it's supposed to have a good message with it.

My Heaven would be like the RC depiction of Hell, except I'd be the torturer and there'd be Heavy Metal and all kinds of alcoholic beverages... And I guess maybe a cozy lounge room with an all-seeing television that takes up a whole wall, for me to chill with friends and such.

my heaven would be a quite Neighborhood with my best friends, the girl i love and my family in a close proximity where i could live for eternity hanging with my friends day to day

For me Heaven equals no hubby. no kids , no housework, no cooking, cleaning, washing , no grocery shopping and no gardening......

Now, if I could just get rid of all that here and now, I'M IN HEAVEN.........

Heaven is nothing than the knowledge of living with full happiness.

I think that if there is a heaven, we will become pure energy without the constraints or knowledge of who we were as individuals.

I know that's a strange answer and this is supposed to be funny, but thinking about existing for an eternity with the knowledge of our lives on earth depresses me and doesn't make sense to me.

Ok really, heaven/summerland/the great here after... is whatever the faith you believe in says, and what you feel it is in your soul. To a fe of us pagany types.. Summerland (or Tir na nOg as I call it) is very festive, always summer, and it's deffinatly a place one goes to relax before comming back into a new life. (I am also hopeing that comming back part is optional *snickers*)

If Heaven or Summerland is a place the it should be green. I picture a river bank with soft green grass and great live oaks dripping with moss. I am sitting there with a cane pole, a bobber and a cooler of Beer. The smell of orange blossoms fill the air. No traffic sounds, just birds and the occasional fish jump.

A Description of Heaven

The Doors of Heaven
Hadith implies that the heaven has eight doors: Whoever performed a
perfect ablution and recited shahadah then all the eight doors of
the heaven are thrust open for him–he may enter from whichever door
he likes. (Sahih Muslim).

The Prophet of Allah (SAW) has also told us:

When Ramadhan comes round, the doors of the skies are opened.
Another tradition has it that the doors of the Heaven are opened and
those of the Fire are closed (Sahih Bukhari).

The Prophet of Allah (SAW) said:

By Him in whose hands my soul is, the distance between the two gate

The Prophet of Allah (SAW) has described the width of heaven thus:
Harith's (RA) mother came to the Prophet (SAW), Harith had been
martyred during the battle of Badr. She said: "O Prophet of Allah!
You know how much I loved him. If his reward is heaven, than I will
not cry but if not than you see what I will do before you." The
Prophet of Allah (SAW) said: "Is that just one heaven? There are
very many heavens and your son is in the best of them, Al-Firdous Al-
Aala." (Sahih Bukhari)

When you pray ask for Firdous, for it is in the middle of heaven and

There is a tree in the heaven, which will manufacture robes for the
dwellers of the heaven. That tree is called Tuba.

A hadith has these words about this tree.

Tuba is a tree in the heaven, which spreads out as much as a

dwellers of the heaven will sprout from its buds.

they should say Subhan Allah Al-Hamdulillah and Allah Akbar.

It is reported on the authority of Anas bin Malik (RA): The Prophet
of Allah (SAW) said:

Indeed, there is a bazaar in the heaven where the dwellers of the
Heaven will come on every Friday. The northerly wind will spray
scent on them and this will enhance their beauty. And when they will
return to their homes, their households will say "By Allah, your
beauty has enhanced." "So has yours," they will return the
compliment. (Muslim)

In short, they will be overwhelmed by Allah's favours.

And when you look, it is there you will see a bliss and a realm
magnificent. (Ad-Dahr: 20)

Gibraeel's (angel gabrial)(AS) Impression of Heaven
The Prophet of Allah (SAW) said:

When Allah Almighty created the heaven and the hell, He asked
Jibraeel to go and take a look at what He has prepared for believers
in the Heaven. Jibraeel went and had a look at what was there in the
Heaven, and then he came back and expressed himself thus: By your
dignity! Whoever will hear of this Heaven will certainly strive for
it. Then it was said that the road to the heaven is littered with
hardships, and Jibraeel was asked to take another look at the
Heaven. He came back and said, "By your dignity I am afraid that
nobody will be able to enter it. (Tirmizee)

This means that the heaven is such a magnificent place that whoever
knew of it would certainly strive for it, but when Allah Almighty
ordained that the Heaven lies in facing trials and tribulations,
Gibraeel (AS) thought that nobody might be able to enter it.

In the other thread about being {Born in the wrong time periiod} it seems very clear that most of the people want a less artificial life where their lives are more in touch with nature and the effort of living. So how long would they enjoy a heaven where everything is handed to them the moment they think of it?

I think the only thing wrong with life on earth is how bad the company too often is. My heaven would be rebirth to a very very long life among people whose natures are better than human.
