Every night before I go to sleep, I seem to hear whispers humming all around me. I sometimes can hardly make out the words. But, this only happens when I know somebody is in my room. I can always feel the presence of somebody else lurking around. In my head I shall think, "Get Out". Then, all of a sudden, the whispers will start again frantically. I have no idea what to do. Sometimes I won't even "talk" to them, they'll just start it up again. Any comments?

I once heard them saying "Let Us" and another time "Here". No big sentences or real conversations really. And this started about 1 1/2 years ago. I'm spooked.

Something that might explain this is hypnagogia. Its common to feel a presence and hear things like voices.

Is it only when your going to sleep that you get this?Do you feel any other sensations?.Ever have sleep paralysis?I'd be spooked too if i had that every night.

I've heard whispers before. Right after my bed shook violently scaring me senseless. I heard "I can sense you." I opened my eyes & there was no one around. It sounded like a little girl's voice.
I hope the whispers stop.

yes it happens to me all the time... once u get the hang of it.. you can control what you hear... i always make up songs...like u actually have total control... like control over the instruments used for the song.. and the lyrics...
... you were going through the first stages of leaving ur body... (astral project).. or sleep paralysis and some like to say nowadays.......

It sounds rather like when you hear a load of chatter in the back of your mind but as soon as you become aware of it and try to listen and make out what is being said it all stops!
Tell them to go away and that you aren't interested if it spooks you too much, they are infringing and you have every right to tell them to "*#@* off"!

Well, My first thought was "Scitsophrinia." Alot of things seems to happen only when we are falling asleep. But in some cases, we only notice it when we are falling asleep because everything is quiet and still. Try falling asleep with music on or a meditation cd or the tv. If it gets worse, see a shrink.

I myself have this occurance, however now it has toned down obscenely. When I was younger--and this was rare--I could hear the voices--I thought they were coming from my closet, I do not exactly remember what they said, I know that they would shout at me. It wouldn't necessarily make me feel bad, but I would begin to weep. Now it's whispers, either when there is no one around or a multitude of people. Usually it's just a loud whisper--now mostly they just say my name.

That's why I asked if the same thing was being repeated over and over and over.
If someone hears voices and no-one is there it doesn't necessarily mean it is evil spirits, maybe they just sort of tuned into something, rather like a radio. However if they are calling your name and then repeatedly saying the same thing again and again that isn't so good.

Mattk4today im not saying thats what it is im only trying to help by giving suggestions on what it could be.I am not a sceptic,i have a strong believe in spirits and in evil after having several experiences of my own so im not ruling that out but i do think hypnagogia happens so its not always spirits.

When i was young (long time ago now), i can always remember sometimes wakeing from sleep and hearing voices.
Most were just wispers, but with the wispers there was shouting also, and it was like there were hundred's of people all going at once it was just one big noise!!.
I could not understand a thing they or my brain

were saying. It was very strange for young wee lad i was then i must say.
I can happily say this all stoped when i got to the age of about 15 and never heard it since. I just think in my case it was just imagination+young age.
PS..
At the time it was quiet unerving as it was real.

I've had this happen to me (and many others have reported it as well). It sometimes can be explained as 'Threshold consciousness':the state of falling asleep or waking up.
Physiological phenomenon that can occur in threshold consciousness include lucid dreaming, hypnagogia, hypnopompia, hypnagogic hallucinations, and sleep paralysis. (thanks to Wikipedia!)
But you might also want to check out Clairaudience, which is:
"Receiving messages in thoughtform from another frequency or realm. It is considered a form of channeling.
We actually do it all the time, especially under duress, or in an emergency, when we focus/listen to what we call the 'little voice' in our head. We are always connected to the other side, we need only focus on what is being said to realize how our immediate destiny is manifesting. Stop, Look, and Listen.
The entities attributed to these messages are often thought of as one's soul, spirit guides, decease loved ones, disincarnate entities, angels or other religious icons, aliens, sometimes dark/negative forces, etc.
Sometimes the messages are preceded by the scent of something kind related to the spirit. Most often it is a floral fragrance, representing the Flower of Life or creation, continuity with the other side in different frequencies. This is known as Clairsentience. Sometimes there is pressure on top of the head of other chakra points in the head around (lower base of brain, behind the ears) one's focus is shifted to listen for thoughts and they come through. Sometimes they are clear, other times muffled. There may be a pressure on top of the head means the opening of the crown chakra. One may also experience body sensation such as chills, tingles, hair standing on end, tickles, or other physical sensations.
Learning to listen to different entities is as much fun listening to different people who has something important to tell you. You can learn to distinguish their messages by their frequency signatures, as each soul has its own soul note or frequency signature.
Did you ever stop to wonder where some of your silly thoughts come from during the course of your day? Some Spirit Guides like to be silly and send funny messages.
If you suffer from mental problems, the voices you hear are most likely a result of your illness and a psychiatrist should be consulted, especially when the voice are threatening and put you in fear factor. Mental illness goes to instability, susceptibility, fears, panic, anxiety attacks, in which case one should avoid psychic work." (Thanks Crystalinks!)

There is a point when sleeping or meditating where your non-physical body starts to separate, and you can "hear", and "feel" non-physical entities. I have heard them speak many times, and I have been pushed, prodded and even jumped on many times. The first time this happened, I heard a male and female voice speaking about 3 feet away.
The one thing that I wonder about the most is, one night when I was trying to sleep, I heard a pretty female voice say "I will always love you no matter what". I can't wait to find out who she is one day

i know a lot of people who get this,me included, for me its usually my friends voices saying random things, only 2 or 3 words though. The weirdesdt thing that happened was during a bout of this whispering i cleared my throat lightly, suddenly the EXACT noise i made was replayed at a stupidly loud volume right in my ear,i actually lept up outa bed in fright cos of it lol. It was like something was mocking me. So weird because usually the whispers keep me fascinated till i drift off, never freak me like that time o.O
