What is your view on Magic? I've done some reading, and I've come to believe that it probably overlaps with the Magickal views of Chaotes, but I would enjoy some opinions from (LaVeyan) Satanists to be sure.

The magical view of LaVey was very vague, he stated that emotional energy is one of the most powerful types of energy, and if focused through ritual could be used to manifest your desires, which yes, does agree with the view of Chaotes, Chaotes also incorperate psuedo-religions into their rituals, depending on what they need to get done, they will believe in a certain religion for a certain amount of time. They really have no set beliefs, where as Satanists do, though i personally have some set beliefs, like the belief in no god existing, the belief in other planes of existance, i also incorperate psuedo-beliefs into my magic. IMO there is a universal energy (not to be confused with a god, as it isnt an actual being) that can be manipulated through will, emotion, and symbolism, and the names of gods and religious/occult symbols over years and years of being worshiped and used have gained a sort of energy of their own, they can be used to direct the universal energy flow. IMO any form of magic can work for you if you incorperate enough energy, emotion, and know what you're doing. Though some people just dont choose to do certain types, like it would be very rare to find a Satanist practicing Kabbalah or Goetia, and like wise, a Christian practicing Satanic magic. Hopefully this somewhat answered what you wanted to know.
