I am looking for a free antivirus tool that I can use on a reboot on a computer that’s is infested with viruses. Any one got a download link that could help me out?

I'm not sure I totally understand the question but I'm probably just trying to read too much into it. If the computer is bootable, AVG Free can be set to update and scan on boot up. For the really nasty ones you can run it in safe mode as well.

I dont know why but every time I try to look at that site the web site closes.
can i have the name of the program?

AVG Free Anti-virus, Grisoft is the maker. Not sure why it would be closing unless you have a pop-up blocker, sometimes holding down control while you click a link stops that, maybe just a bug. If you do a search in yahoo or google for AVG Free download it is usually the top link.

Very strange I made sure all my popup blockers where off and it still drops on me. Its like Firefox and internet explorer crashes when i try to get in to that website.

Free online scan.

Strange, if you're downloading it from the computer with the virus maybe it's a virus blocking it?

Here is an alternate site you can download it from, it is safe, Cnet's Download.com. Not sure but I don't think you even have to register. Clicky here.

Here's some others you can try, I know they're legit and safe to download, but don't know if they will scan on boot up.
