In the distant future, will Biomechanoids be a possibility? Unlike the Cyber-Organisms (Cyborgs) we see in our society today, Biomechanoids are not simply humans with electronic or mechanical implants attached to their body. They are humans who live an intimate, symbiotic relationship with their cybernetic counterparts. Imagine a machine growing in an infant's body as he matures. Will it ever be possible? Nanotechnology may help us achieve us. When a stream of Artificial Intelligent Nano-bots are injected into a foetus in the womb, they can be programmed to meld with their organic surrounding and alter it immensely. Once the baby is born, the changes in its body become apparent. The nano-bots will constantly be building cybernetic components in different areas of the newborn baby. Since the microscopic robots are extremely small, the baby feels no discomfort, and genetic conditioning has already allowed his body to accept the new machine parts being continuously built without any problems. Thus, as the baby matures, the machinery in its body grows with it. They will live the same life, human and machine. They can interface with each other, between the organic brain of the baby and the computer mind of the machine. A new level of evolution will be reached. There will never again be fears of machines taking over the world, because we have become the machines, and yet still retaining our humanity. We will be an advanced species that would survive mortal death by ageing. Nano-bots would constantly repair both machine and biological organs.
This is just my perspective of the future. But is this really plausible?

Why would we put nanobots in babies?

Why would we put nanobots in babies?
because by the time the infant grows up and reaches adolescence, it'll be more difficult for his body to accept the new cybernetic parts growing within him. its the same reason why we usually vaccinate infants once they're born. and, having nano-bots in a infant's body makes him better at adapting to living with machinery inside him, rather than only starting the process when he's older. besides, the nano-bots would cure any diseases that afflict the infant after birth, when his immune system is very weak.

i think it would be really interesting to see come to pass. little off topic, but if this kind of thing interests you, then you should really read the book "Feed" by M Anderson. its has a lot to do with how our society evolves with biomechanoids that link our minds directly to the internet. also has a lot to do with capitalism, but its a really excellent book.

They could also stop any genetic abnormalities that can accrue during development. Every thing from siemens twins to clubfoot would be eliminated.

Very interesting 'n all, but before we decide to eliminate Death through Aging, we should definitely find a way to colonize other planets for humans to live on... 'Cuz there'd be way too many humans eventually. Only logical option next to deliberately killing people to control the population.

hm interesting ... i'm always thinking in which direction will go human evolution ... maybe this would be realy the end of humans & start for AI "objects"

What the OP is suggesting would be
beneficial if properly implemented. I don't think our brains would be taken over by the machines. At least not any more than they are already.
Humans would still be humans, but machines at the same time. Like the Borg only without the collective, hideousness and super-logic.

wow, this is very interesting.
i might be taking up a course called "micro and nano technology" in one of the schools here.
there's big potential in this yeah?
hope to see your idea in the near future being put into action.
