Is Satanic Ritual Abuse a Hoax, lie, or urban legend? Please tell me of your proof it actually happened. Those liars and their "Recovered Memories" mean NOTHING. I'm tired of liars. sleepy.gif did it happen devil.gif ?

I can only assume that their are some true stories.

I remember something horrible on t.v about a preacher basically implanting the thought into peoples heads and giving them exorcisms. If there is a hell, that man has a place there.

Anyhow, religioustolerance.org has a good article on it:

I don't think you would ever get proof aside from actually going into one of these groups yourself. The one thing they will never do is to advertise themselves and their activites.

I wouldn't resort to calling anyone a liar, no-one ever really knows what goes on behind closed doors, recovered memories could be false or - they could be true, how do you know they are lying?

I love coming across pictures of stupid teens/young adults who have "sacrificed" a cat or something else. Sickos.
Lord Umbarger
When I was in my teens I knew a girl who claimed that her sister and she had been subjected to some kind of Satanic mind control when they we very young and that certain words or a certian look would cause them to go into a trance. I always thought that they were full of beans but, I played along and never tried to call them on it.

I think as far as satanic ritual killings and abuse goes... I suppose you could say it happens (there was a case of it in my state that was pretty widely publicized because the perp was a police officer, chilling) But the bigger question I think is... is it organized? Meaning do these people have a network of other satanists they hobnob with? I don't think so. I think it's individual acts by purely evil people.
Lord Umbarger
There is a Church of Satan that was, (maybe still is), based in San Fransico, California. It was founded by Anton Levay,(sp), the author of he "Satanic Bible", (when sane people read it, they call it the "Satanic Babble", Tee-Hee!).

So, yes, there is a wide spread organisation of "Satanists" but, for the most part things like the animal sacrifices and so on are done by teenage wannabes. Many teenagers become facinated by it early in their teens but, most grow out of it. Psycologists say that it stems from a sensation of helplessness and a desire to be in control. Of course, what I've described here is the norm. There are always exceptions and those are the ones that go on to commit satanic ritual murders and the like.

How do I know this? I was in law enforcement for some time and I took course on gang and cult activities as part of my job.

I don't worship demons but, I hear they taste like chicken!

You should read the book "Ghost Girl" by Torey Hayden. I believe it is available through Amazon.com.
It is a true story about a teacher who encounters a little girl who she believes was sexually abused and involved in some sick satanic rituals.
It's a really good book, definitely a page turner.

like you, i have never met someone first hand who claims to have been abused....i have met people who have been in groups, read many articles on the subject and have seen evidence of where the groups have been....there is probably some truth in what is said and there is probably some bull...i just take each on its own merit but if i ever find one for sure i will let you know.

There was a santanic cult in the Freetown Fall River National Forest. Many police found lots of disturbing things in there such as human skulls, animal sacrofices, and murder victims.

I don't trust the idea of hypnosis, let alone on minors. Children are very easily persuaded. Sure, there are weirdo's out there pretending to have Satanic masses, but since there is no Satan, it's even more foolish.
The Skeptic Eric Raven
There was a great documentry on this several years ago on the Discovery channel. It centered on a group of children in a day care that after coaching said they had participated in rituals. It was proven to be all bull. They even had a interview with one of the children after she was grown and she admitted she had been coached. This ruined the adults lives forever. I am not saying it can't happen, but according to an expert on the occult on that show there is no proof to show a widespread coridinated effort to use children in such a way.

I love when police find a murder or a sacrificed animal with occult material nearby they assume it's Satanic.

I'm curious to know what you would accept as proof? a charred piece of wood? a dismembered animal/human part? If I'm hearing correctly from what you said, a person's personal account could be either a lie or a false memory.

I'm quite sure some people have been ritually abused in the name of satan.

However, that doesn't mean the abuser has any 'satanic authority'.

I think you're right about this. I'm certain that people have been ritually abused and have witnessed ritual abuse, but they don't have to necessarily do it consciously under the power of satan; however, in my humble opinion, I believe that whether people doing this put a label on it or don't put a label on it, it's consciously or unconsciously done satanically --pure evil.

We can take serial killers as a good example. Some cases like the Night Stalker Richard Ramirez case was filled with satanic overtones; while on the other hand, butcher/cannibal Jeffery Dahmer made no references to satanic influences in his quotes/letters.

I know mental illness may play a factor in some of these ritual abuses and serial killings. I mean what human in their right mind would do such a thing?

Simple: yes.

Long, ranting answer: the Satanic ritual abuse reported by a group of people that, I believe, Freud described as "hysterics" is a very large pile of male bovine defacatory material (a heapin big plateful of bull to the semantically challenged people who read this). The closest thing a real Satanist comes to in sacrifice is the throwing of a curse, and we do no ritual abusing in curses, unless one considers torturing an effigy as ritual abuse.

Rant over.

Hasn't the FBI investigated Satanic abuse and decided it's a bunch of bull?

Anyway, when I was about 15, I joined the Joy of Satan website because I was going through a hard time in my life and was drawn by the thought of having control over something. I don't like stereotyping teenagers, but that one fit me to a T. I'm now 18, and eventually grew out of it. Anyway, the site was pretty harmless. Pretty much taught meditation, and told us not to do anything to hurt anyone, people or animals. We were also assigned a "guardian demon," so I felt like someone was watching over me. I recently visited the site just for kicks, and was shocked to see how whacko they are now. They don't allow black people. unsure.gif

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but there are claims of all kinds of abuse in all religions.
