So I have started meditating and to be honast I am a little clueless. I am doing this for my own reasons, but I really dont know where to start. Could someone tell me some steps or something on this and mabe what I should be trying to achieve? Sorry this may be a stupid question but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Basic, but a good start, fairly easy to follow.

I agree with the above. Some people try to empty their minds of all thoughts, however, just by trying that it is effort and you won't be relaxing. Just make sure you are somewhere quiet and won't be disturbed.

I remember meditating in my bedroom once, nice and quiet it was, sitting there deep in meditation, I nearly jumped out of my skin when the phone rang in the room, I had forgotton to turn the ringer off and I had palpitations LOL

Mediation feels so weird when you start off then you're mined clears and lots of things make since.

Sit there and think nothing. That's about it.

How you should meditate varies upon your goal for meditating. If it's relaxation and health then you sit and concentrate on breathing slowly and feeling the air.
