All I can say CS is that you look at the country of Iceland, that sits across the Mid-Atlantic ridge - where real-time Plate Tectonics is happening, and as a nation it is physically increasing its land area due to volcanism. No need for water seepage to increase its land area.
The Continental crust does not sink at subdection zones, rather it is "Scraped" off to form majestic mountain ranges like the Himalayas and the Andes.

your claim for Atlantis being Cape Breton when it was in the middle of pangea 250 million years ago would mean that Plato underestimated the date of Atlantis by a factor of several million (he actually stated the date in each dialogue around 9600bce)
he got the fact that it was occupied by humans wrong (we only evolved as a species less than 120,000 years ago)
he got the location wrong he said it led to other continents (when pangea was around there was only one continent)
he got the name wrong (nouns are a human invention and we weren't around to name anything)
he got everything about it wrong (maybe he was on drugs, maybe you need to be)
and Plato is the only credible source

while north america came this way the plate went in a counter clockwise motion thats why cape breton ended up in a northern latitude ,the closer she came westward the northern she got in latitude.
