Well i'm from the country of the philippines, and most people don`t know...it`s a dangerous place...if you know where they are. Most of the stories my family told me came from the provinces...the Visayan islands. Cebu, Siquijor, and Bohol are the places mostly talked about. My family came from Bohol actually, but moved to the city. Things happened to me when I was younger....I do not recall most of it, but my mother can recall my traumas. Some of the stories my family told me was of their own experiences. Fairies, the creatures called "capre", people with powers, "anting-anting", witches, and other things.

So I`ll start this with....Siqiujor. I actually haven`t been there, but...I dont think I`d actually want to. They tell me that if someone was to tell you you were pretty or handsome, or any compliments, you might get sick or something of the sort....I`ve seen an interview back in my country about people from Siquijor...a seventeen year old boy was on camera, showing the media that he can make paper dolls dance...I always wonder....why didn`t this reach the states??

Here is a site about Siquijor: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siquijor & http://www.mysiquijor.com/MagicIntroPage.html

Welcome to UM!

I've actually spoken to people who claim to have seen Tikbalangs before. The Philippines has some very interesting folklore. I'd love to visit the place.

It`s a CRAZY place lol but i love my homeland. =] lots of myths and legends goin` on...lol My family onced had nieghbors that were witches!!! My aunt was a victim of that one hag`s dinner...luckily, she was survived. I wasn`t born yet when that was happening...

lots of pregnancy rituals too....luck stuff...like if you and someone said the same thing at the same time, you`re supposed to say this saying and ask for "money" then put it in your pocket. its good luck lol

Ah Philippines ! the home of real magic ! genuine witchcraft and sorcerer.
Funny thing is, they never use the priest for exorcism.
Local quacks can kick off satan very quickly.

Ever been to Leyte?
A lot of crazy stuff goes on down there.
I was there last summer, and I tell you. Things are really dangerous at night.
And I don't mean the huge killer spiders, killer bees, or cobras..
