God made sex...............and left it up to you to have sex at the appropriate time. You can either disobey God and have premarital sex or you can obey him and have sex after marriage. It's just like any other sin. A test of faith.
Sex before marriage is NOT a sin and it it written NOWHERE in the Bible that it is. Furthermore my personal choice to not engage in sex before marriage had NOTHING to do with religious reasons for the abovementioned.
That aside ANYONE who lived together in OT times and had sex were considered 'married' there was no formal ritual likethere is today. It is not a test of faith.
Then there are the Christians who preach to you WHAT you are 'allowed' to do with your partner/husband. It's none of their damn business and furthermore apart from sodomy (which I can fully understand why God detests) God is SILENT on such matters, therefore God doesn't really CARE what you do in your own bedroom.

It's none of their damn business and furthermore apart from sodomy (which I can fully understand why God detests) God is SILENT on such matters, therefore God doesn't really CARE what you do in your own bedroom.

Ashley, can you explain some of these things on this site then? http://www.new-life.net/premarital.htm They are excerpts from the old testament concerning premarital sex. Would you consider these cultural ways or God's teachings?

So why do so made Christians have a problem with it? The idea of 'original sin' was MADE UP by AUGUSTINE a Scorpio no less. The sin of Adam and Eve was this. So the sin indeed was NOT sex and where this idea that itwas sex came from is beyond me. Adam and Eve probably had sex in Eden and God had no problem with it.

I also personally believe that sex should only be between two people who love each other or means nothing and is pointless, which is part of the reason why I've made the choice at a very young age to not have sex until marriage. There are other factors influencing that decison but one of the main ones is that to me teh actual act of sex is a very big thing and not something I'd want to share with someone who one day I mayhave to break up with. I just couldn't do it.

all true except for one account where God kills a guy for spilling his seed on the floor on purpose... but that was in direct defiance of God... so that's a different story all together...

a lot of those verse do say that it is looked down on... but nowhere does it say it's a sin...
also a few of those were in reference to spending your money on prostitues... which again isn't a sin... but the Bible does say that it's a pretty stupid thing to do...

I figured. I don't have a bible with me at work, so I figured I'd look up a few verses online. It's a bit hard to see their full meaning unless read more than one verse.
I agree that buying a prostitute is a bit stupid...and not to mention a waste of moeny. I mean really..it isn't THAT hard to get laid (STD free), right?
Just goes to show......
