THis guy told me yesterday that they put nanobots in the Frozen Cokes at Mcdonalds to let them keep their "fluffly" texture.I'm not certain whether I believe him, as I think that he might have just said it to impress me. I am inclined not believe him, but stranger things have happened. Has anybody else heard of this, or something like it??

they have regular cokes at Mcdonalds, not frozen. plus think about it, if nanotechnology was succesfully achieved, wouldn't they put it to some more important use?

There's just so many untrue stories about fast food restaurants, and this is one of them.
Do you really think they'd spend that much money for a coke?

Its only a recent thing though - before we had a choice of Doughnut King, or the Movies.
That was it.
I've been looking on the net as well, and I can't find anything to support it...

Haven't managed to confirm the coca-cola thing yet - but have found
a link or
two about nanoparticles being used within McDonalds packaging.
I have, however found some articles about nanoparticles being used within plastic packaging for fizzy drinks, in order to create a barrier that the fizzy gas can't permeate through, unlike current plastics, extending their shelf life for months. Maybe it's something along those lines.

If you had a conspiracy theory that they put *** adictive chemical/ *** banned but cost-saving preservatives in McCokes, I'll believe.
But these cheapskeates will never put high-tech expensive stuff to make their cokes taste better!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if they put any number of things in our drinks at the fast food restaurants. I knew someone who used to be manager of a fast food chain, and he said "I can't comment about this, but I would recommend you don't buy soda from any place unless it's in a can or bottle."
So it doesn't surprise me.

I didn't know that McDonald's had frozen cokes. I know that Burger King does and if they are putting nanobots in them to keep them fluffy they must be buying the Sam's Choice brand of bot because those things stay fluffy for about ten minutes and then just become Coke with a layer of scum on the top.

mmmm.....frozen cokes!! *drools....
I agree with mr. phillipkd. since when did McD's care so much about food quality? their food sucks! Yet we're all addicted to it. i can't get enough of their damn nuggets! I try to stay away from it if i can. But yeah some of the MD restaraunts sell frozen cokes. They're VERY common here. It's freakin HOT here!
mmm...frozen coke.....

It seems perfectly logical to me, that if/when nanobots of this type are ever created, their first use could very well be for this purpose. After all, does not Mc Donalds signify the apex of western civilization as we know it; in social, economic, and cultural terms at least, if not gastronomic?

Indeed, and I fully expect artificial intelligence to be used FIRST by fast food restaurants for taking orders, to replace the high school drop outs that currently ask me "would you like an apple pie with that"?
