I picked up God of War 2 yesterday. I couldn't play it because the moment I tried putting it in, my PS2 completely crapped out on me. Nothing would work. So today, my friend gave me his PS2 because he has a PS3. I just started playing GoW2, and I'm already liking it better than the first one. The first game amazed me, and this surpasses it greatly, without really significantly changing anything. I'll play more of the game and post what I think about it. Anyone else get a chance to play it yet? If so, what do you think?

I've never played the second one, but I bought the first. I really didn't think that much of it, it was fun for a while but after a few hours of playing it just became old really fast.

I'm pretty far into the second game rigtht now. This is easily one of the best games I've ever played. The way the new techniques are utilized are awesome. The violence is more extreme than ever. The boss fights are incredibly intense and fast-paced, and there are so many more of them. Man...everything about this game just flat out ROCKS. Much more so than the original. I can say that this is definately the best gaming experience I've had since first playing RE4.

Dude, GoW was awesome. GoW2, utterly incomprehensable. I loved every second of playing through both games, and of course own them. The one thing i didn't like about GoW2 was the ending. It left me wanting more. Thankfully, it obviously leads up to a third game. I hope it wont take too long. It's gonna come out on the PS2 as far as i'm aware.

Completed it on God mode. Titan is STUPID hard.

Oh, God of War. Source of innumerable "Holy s*** dude did you see that?" moments. It's brutal, it's mean, it's EXTREMELY gory, and I f***** love it

The ending left me wanting more, oh yeah. Thinking, "All right Zeus, prepare to die m*******" [spoiler]and then Athenea pops out of nowhere and stops it[/spoiler], it was frustrating. Hopefully the third game won't take too long. At least I know there's a GOW game coming up for the PSP later this year, by the same guys who did Daxter, so that should be good enough for now

Nope. I'm 100% positive that GoW 3 is coming out on the PS3. The game won't be out for another 2 years, most likely. The main reason they put 2 on the PS2 was because the PS3 is still a new system and not everyone has one, so the game wouldn't do half as well as the first. By the time 3 is done, a lot more people will have PS3's by then (hopefully me, included).

I thought the ending was great. Perfect cliffhanger. It lets you know just how epic this story really is and how much more there is to tell. I agree though, it does leave me wanting more. I never went back and tried harder modes. I did start a replay game on normal though, so I upgraded everything I had. I was using the Blade of Olympus throughout the entire thing. I didn't feel like playing the game anymore so I quit, but I was almost to the end and only about 6 hours in.

Lol, i'm surprised the PS2 outsold all consoles last month including the new next gens.

I have that gow2 and its ok,It does get boreing after a while.I beta it and saw the end when kratos is rideing gia,The third might not even come out.We really have no proof that there is indeed going to be a god of war 3.

Yeah we do. Cory Barlog has said that they were waiting to see how good GoW2 did to determine whether or not the third would be made. Kind of a stupid thing to say....OBVIOUSLY it was going to do extremely well, and it has. The entire story has been written for years, and I'm sure they have tons of unused ideas to use for the third game. They definately want to do it. I'm pretty sure the game is guaranteed to be made.
