LOL....I'm a "sky watcher", but I live in Nevada, and I'm sure that everything that I see is of military origin. I'm so sorry that I can't share any UFO experiences with you, as I feel it would be an incredible thing to actually see. There are many "sky watchers" in here, I'm sure if you give them a little time you will get your harem.

I really enjoy looking up at the stars in the dead of night, especially in the summer accompanied by a laptop. yes.gif It's just too damn cold around here these days, so the only time I "star gaze" is when I've taken my puppy outside to do his business. I have seen some pretty weird things, however.
ECC
I do it almost every night during the summer time. Yeah, it's definitely too cold right now.

I've seen so much... nobody takes the time to look at the stars for hours during the night so nobody really knows what actually happens. I've seen "stars" move in groups, shoot out of eachother, trade places in groups, trade places, etc. I've seen 2 cigar shaped UFO's. One of them was moving very fast across the sky, the other sat there and moved very odd like. I've also seen a red ball that sat in the sky of San Jose for atleast 10-15 minutes before it shot two stars out of it and blanked out.

It's a beautiful and amazing thing to watch.
If nothing is going on I just lay there and think about life to pass the time!

A 'red ball'? That reminds me of the orb that I saw in September. I was outside with my puppy, again, while doing his business... when I got the feeling to "ask" ET beings to let me see their craft. I did, and within seconds, a red orb appeared in my view towards the west of my location, but disappeared after I looked at it for about three - four seconds.

I tend to look up every night when I take the dogs out.

I did see something strange the other week. Some kind of craft that had alot of lights, and was very silent. It passed maybe a half a mile from my house and disappeared behind a hill. Then 20 minutes later, I was heading to the store and it reemeged over the hill, heading east, but then it turned around and headed straight in my direction, passing right over my car. I saw airplanes in the same time frame that were roughly the same distance, and they were very noisy by comparison. This thing was silent.

I am assuming it was probably some kind of airplane, since it seemed to have lights on it rather than be 'glowing'. It just had alot of lights and in an odd formation compared to the aircraft I'm used to seeing in my area, and the silence was weird too.

I've spent a lot of time watching the stars. On a long enough time scale, you'll see a lot of weird things. You can also find an explanation for the vast majority of them. Not saying there aren't things out there that don't fit neatly into the box, just saying most of them do. You just have to know where to look for the answers.

This is what zoomed by me. Size of a mini-van, couple of hundred feet above the ground, very metallic and moving at an incredible speed. Then, it either cloaked itself or sped up so fast it was invisible. I watched it the whole way that I show here (the path it took).

Actually, have been doing so since 1973, when I an a buddy were witness for over 2 hours to the great UFO event of Oct. 1973, while Jeepin' with our babes in the Sierra Nevadas of CA. Never neglected this again. Influencd so much so, later, went on to work in contracting for NASA and accessing the resources there as much as possible, as so many NASA people do, trying to lock onto that one elusive but factual based confirmation that we are not alone.

I have already seen a UFO. It was a large, orange saucer-shaped object that overflew my base in Vietnam in 1968. It was similar to this incident.

Nha Trang UFO

Years later, I came across the remarks of General George Brown.

QUOTE

UFOs Over Vietnam

"I don't know if this story has ever been told", Brown said, "but they (UFO's) plagued us in Vietnam during the war!"

General George S. Brown, a former commander of the 7th Air Force in Southeast Asia,

Some of my compatriots were stationed at RAF Bent_Waters where UFOs shook up the Air Force in 1980.

UFO's exist, but whether or not they are alien craft is a different story, sinse a UFO is anything in the sky that you don't know what it is, which doesn't immediatly mean its an alien spaceship

I put you on 'ignore' in the other thread, since you seem to embrace gibberish for responses-posts. In the above sentence question, can you read my reply to the question, "do you look up trying to see UFOs."

Did you read my answer before you pounded away on the keyboard?

Giving you the benefit of a doubt, do you know what the Drake Equation is?

It states that within the Milky Way galaxy, of some 200 billion stars, there would be 40 civilizations at our level of development or beyond.

I think it would be foolish to postulate that we are alone in the cosmos. What I saw in 1973, along with millions of others around the country and beyond, was nothing like anything ever seen from Earth in modern times.

So, yes, I believe we are not alone.

You are in error.

200,000,000,000 stars, at least, is correct for count in the Milky Way Galaxy

What? There was some kind of great UFO event in Oct of 1973? This is exactly the time period that I saw a UFO in upstate NY (I was a college student at the time). Well, 'live and learn' I guess. The UFO I saw was disc shaped, dull silver in color, and was illuminated in a manner that seemed to pulsate/rotate through the color spectrum....very weird to say the least.
Please Explain

Well thats pretty cool, i really hope to see something unusual in the sky. I didn't see anything yet but really hoping for something unusual. I hope that someday we meet another race that is not human. original.gif that would be very exciting. Yes, it was the most disturbing and grandoise UFO sighting event in history of modern times, at least in this country. It went on for hour after hour, all over the country, and it was not fleeting mirage type things but city sized ships drifting silently overehead at low altitude. Police, USAF, etc, were involved reporting same. We went back to the small town with our babes from where we were Jeepin' and got together with several policeman and Sheriff deputies and all of us sat there in downtown Quincy CA and watched this event till nearly sunrise till it stopped. Every newspaper in CA, and across the US covered it the next day as well as TV, radio, etc.

http://www.ufoarea.com/events_1973ufowave.html

It changed my outlook on things and altered the course my life took professionally from then on, in sheer fascination. And there never has been anything remotely like it since. Haven't shared this for years, other than with NASA friends and assoicates who would understand.

I'd love to recount that event.

How about yourself? More elaboration, perhaps?

However, I'm sure she would be happy to share further details (and please excuse me, Lilly, if I'm being presumptuous).

I just got over there to read her account. I hope she can bulk it out more. Very intriguing. That night, I learned over the next few days, was witnessed by so many, all across the US, that there was no real clear count of how many people saw this for the whole duration. My buddy and I were listening on my radio in the Jeep with the girls to KFRE 610, Fresno CA (AM), at the moment and kept listening as the reports kept coming in all over CA. Jets scrambled, AFB notified and dispatched. Then, as the night wore on, they would give updates on the ships and where they were headed and their locations. Wild stuff.

I hope Lily can recall more or anyone else from that era that saw this event.

Thank you for that link to her post.

No, at the time I was firefighting for the FS and cowboying on the ranch for my folks and thinking about going back to college. I was 21 in Oct. 1973. I never did connect the dots to paint what I saw and I wasn't that great in painting realism like I can now.
