Nice to see I'm not the only one that sees a pattern here of attacks on religion. They should change the name of this particular forum to "Religion Sucks:Agree or We'll call you Stupid!"

Perhaps everyone is taking this attack business way too seriously and getting a little bent out of shape.

Let it go. original.gif

lol, little 'attacks' on religion. That's cute.

It's more like, "My God said you are inferior: Convert or we'll kill you".

Not too far off the mark. Ad Hominem is par for the course here. I guess pointing out the same few people for posting the same anti-religious material again and again, and cheering each other on is ad hominem too.

Unfortunately, that's the method used to attack religion here too. It's rarely if ever about religion, but the followers of religion.

So? People act upon what they believe.

A person's religion has a huge impact on how they treat society.

Talking about Ted Haggard isn't wrong...him lying to millions and using guilt and fear to get money was wrong.

And there have been plenty of threads on here about just Biblical contradictions and historical inaccuracies.

Well the actual name of this particular forum is called 'Spirituality v.s. Skepticism'.

Note the 'v.s.'

This part of the site is to debate spirituality against Skepticism. Don't mistake an 'attack' for criticism or someone providing contradictory evidence.

If you want to discuss religion without the skepticism then there is a section for that, we call it 'Spirituality, Religion, and Beliefs'.

Yes, I noted the vs. It's vs things, not people. Spirituality, not Spiritualists and Skepticism, not Skeptics. That was part of my point on a few posts. Lets debate the topic, not the people.

But because people hold these things that are debated so closely to their hearts, it becomes difficult for people not to become upset at a negative (or opposing) view. So people naturally go on the defensive. Even if you are slapped in the face, it doesn't mean that you have to slap back.

Never was a big fan of speghetti Doc.
