It's been a few years since I saw this last but I remember it as clear as day . I apologise for the bad art work but it's easyer to show than explain. My impression of the thing that I saw isn't that detailed & I asumed much of the features of the head but the colours are exact. I'm still unsure as to what it was .
It moved at incredible speed & was able to jump over fences with ease . It's skin was soft in appearence and had a slight sheen to it. It was aproximately 7 foot tall & the sighting was accompanied by oddly calm weather & a feeling of peace. It's eyes were dark but not unfriendly .
I appologise if I'm rambleing but I've obsessed over it since it happened . Any idea what it was because I have no clue ?
All ideas are appreciated.

Not a bad piece of art. You did a fine job on the lighting to be sure.

Did you see this in England? No animal native to the British Isles that I know of fits this description. I suppose a kangaroo escaping from captivity (most likely a private owner) could be the cause for this sighting though. What was the setting you observed it in, and how many years ago was this?

Thanks . It was in Shropshire , England. It's been a while back now , I couldn't give you a year. Strange thing was that I saw it more than once . It was also around a time where I heard my name being called a lot . I don't know if it's linked or not . It's skin was the wrong colour for a kangaroo but the leg and tail shape would be right . I was outside in my nans garden , it was evening & I believe it was autumn because it was getting chilly . I'm more worried about the odd calming effect that it had .

The first thing that I thought was 'rat'. Obviously because of the size not a normal rat....maybe a kind of 'rat spirit'.

You should look on a map and see if the spot where you saw it was significant...perhaps it was on a ley line, or where ley lines cross...creating a kind of dimension shift or time warp.

Just athought!

I forgot a detail (thought I'd put it in . Stupid me) I day or so before and after I saw this thing I found two perfectly circular burn marks on wooden funiture in the garden . One on the side of the swing (as it happens I was standing there when I saw it ) & one on the bench next to the swing . Thought maybe this could help .

My first thought was that you saw my mother in law, but she lives in the states so I guess we can rule her out. It's a nice piece of art. I would say maybe it is a wolf of some kind by looking at the picture, but I don't know. My guess would be it is an animal of some sort and the red spot could possibly be a wound of some sort where it's skin is exposed. Did it really have it's front legs that high up in the air when you saw it? Your picture makes it look like a wounded wolf or fox running on it's hind legs. It might be alien who knows, but the simplest answer is usually the best.
Thomas R. Bowen
After further consideration... it probably was my mother in law... lol... I'm just playin'

It's not often that I don't have much to say about something, but, this time I am drawing a blank. I just don't know. In such a case, whether it was me, or as in this case, someone else's experience, the advice I would give is the same. If you have doubts, follow your instincts.

Your drawing is very good though.

Good Journey.

Hmm It sounds like a chupacabra in motion, but looks like a neopet...... interesting. All I can say is a government experiment gone wrong and escaped. *shugs* But who knows. Have there been any oter sighting? Ask around and find out.

Hello Myotishia,

The best that I can come up with is a Barghest. This article doesn't say it but I have in an old book somewhere, that Barghest could shape shift and were supposed to be guardians or familiars. LOL! The books are packed or I would dig it out and look further. But it was said that a Barghest could even assume human form as well as others. Anywho, it's a start. here's what Wikki had to say about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barghest

Warm regards,
Mabon.
Cold.
I say it was the Chupacabra.

The artwork IS lovely. It looks like a cross between a fox, a wolf and Jennifer Garner....bust-wise, anyway.

Is your story just an excuse to show your artwork? hmm.gif
If you saw anything, then you probably just have been watching to much cartoons.

I don't know what it could be, but I have seen something a lot like it!!! it was about a month ago, at night. me and my mother were siting outside in our back yard. I was up in our tree. just siting and watching the desert behind our house. (*we live near a big desert, and behind our house is a vacent lot, and a street, and on the other side of the street is the desert*) and my mom had gone in the house to go to the bathroom, and then I had seen a verry tall shape, it looked a little fury, and very tall. I would say about 7-8 feet tall. and it was so fast. it wen't faster then the cars did on the street, (and the speed limit is 30 mph) and it had a snout, looked kinda canine. I don't think it had a tail, but I,m not shour, it was quite dark out. all I know is that I saw the shape perfectly. I don't know the color, I think it might have been dark brown, dark gray, or black. I know it was some kind of dark color. and then it ran into a near by dich.

what ever it was, I know damn shour it wasn't normal. blink.gif

Also has a lot to do with my drawing style original.gif

I'd have given anything to have had a camera. lol

I say it is some sort of alien. This is because of the calming effect. Aliens are the only paranormal creatures to have this, that ii know of. Like mothman for one example. Do you have any lost time? Like were you looking at it feeling calm then the next thing you know it vanished or anything like that? I have read everything I can on the paranormal. I believe there are aliens that travel through time to our earth & time. this is the only thing that makes sense. Ha ha, by letting go of everything we "know" about science & putting all the eyewitness accounts together & from my
own psychic & ghost experiences, multi-dimensions with otherwordly beings in them is the only solution!

Occam's Razor everyone....it is a Kangaroo not an alien nor a chuppacabra.

First impressions, come on everyone thought kangaroo,I will even go further to state that is was most likely a female red kangaroo. Not just to rattle an opinion lets look at a comparison between this so called entity and a kangaroo.

Lets start with the coloring
Entity - Soft grey with a sheen
Kangaroo - Kangaroos come in many colors, not simply the typical red. In fact one of the largest of the female Kangaroos is the red kangaroo, DO NOT let the name fool you.The female type of this Kangaroo is actually desrcibed as a BLUE - GREY with some brown tinge and a pale grey underbody. As far as the sheen goes, Kangaroos lick themselves to keep cool, wet fur = sheen

Now Height
Entity - an estimated Seven feet,
Kangaroo - 6 and a half feet and can weigh upto 200 pounds...these are not little roos

Movement
Entity - "moved at incredible speeds and able to jump over fences with ease"
Kangaroo - Kangaroos have been clocked at approximately 44 MPH and can move at a sustained rate of 25 MPH. Kangaroos are also known to cover a distance of thirty feet with a sinlge jump, and can obtain verticle jumps of over 6 feet. These are jumping machines.

Eyes
Entity - Dark
Kangaroo - Dark

Compare the pictures and use your best judgement. Click to view attachment

While kangaroos are not native to england, it does not mean that there are not any there. Most likely it was an escaped exotic pet.
Simple Logic
hey
i think it is a kangaroo....i live in australia and ive seen alot of them.....the red marking is probably a wound from when the kangaroo freed itself or maybe the owner/ zoo took bad care of it

hope this helped happy.gif

Thanks . Just one thing to think about , how did it pick up that much speed going through an allieway (one side to the other) that is only aprox a meter and a half across .
Though it would be cool seeing a kangaroo in the middle of England.
Ghost Ship
Kangaroo like.
myotishia
though it did have a more human posture and slightly thinner body than a kangaroo . Plus I swear it didn't have fur . but as was said fur gets shiney when wet .
Devendra
Escaped Kangoroo.
swiftpaw fatfox
I can't say exactly what it is but many people have posted some passable explanations, even one that was probably a joke. The most logical explanation is that it's a kangaroo, but the problem there is you're going to here about it in the news and how many times can this thing escape?
bigwedgie
My guess is a chupacabra that had stolen a red fitted jacket to keep warm in the english weather ..... never heard of one in shropshire though lol

Spring heeled jack?...

Nice art! yes.gif It looks like some sort of poke-mon, rat/kangaroo thingy.
