This makes it easier to concieve of a mental or a transcendent reality. Thought is more prepared to consider the spiritual foundations of theology, and eventually to connect with the creative governing intelligence of the universe, that we call God." Mindpower and The Spiritual Dimension" by Richard Haw We are all aware of the many trials and tribulations that our world is presently experiencing. Evil, in the form of pollution, crime, hatred, greed, and moral decline, seems to be increasing in proportion to the current materialistic outlook. It would seem then that the remedy for these ills is not more materialism, but a looking away from matter towards Spirit, towards the true nature of our relationship to the Infinite Source of All Being. This wouldn't mean that we ignore our present basic material needs but when we turn to the "Divine Mind", the Collective Conciousness, or Spirit (God), whatever term one wants to use, then, and only then will we find true, practical and lasting solutions which would benefit everyone involved. I've seen this principle demonstrated and therefore know it to be true.

Einstein once said that anyone studying physics long enough is inevitably led into metaphysics. The original Webster's Dictionary defines metaphysics as the science of the principles and causes of all things existing; hence, the science of mind or intelligence. Christ was the greatest metaphysician. Through his miracles he proved the supremacy of Spirit over matter. He showed us by His works that there are spiritual laws, which are above material laws, that govern the universe , and when understood, they can be demonstrated as dependable, practical and absolute. Quantum physics has come to the realization that , basically, there is no matter. It is believed that the seeming reality of our material world is nothing more than the extension or manifestation of our thinking. Thought produces energy and energy produces mass. Several great religions have acknowledged this concept all along. Now, physics is coming to the same conclusions.

This article started out great! Then.... Well, we're back to "Believe in God & all will be well".

It's not that I don't believe in God. That's not the problem. But, if the author believes as many others do that our thought DO influence reality, then why should we just resign ourselves to the reality we don't like and let GOD fix it!? Why not try to change that reality by believing in & working for something better?!!! I just can't stand that "God will make it better" attitude! God gave us a brain & free will so we could use them!!!

Not to bring up old topics, but I just happened to find this on a search I was doing. The article is interesting and I can agree with some of the views. I think that at the same time science and religion are becoming further apart in their basic principles they are infact coming closer to finding the truth.

I don't believe in the fact that we were created specially. Astronomically speaking, we are such an insignificant part of everything. In the whole view of things, everything is possible and our existence is only 1 in an infinite amount of things that could happen.

Also, if what the article says is that energy comes from thought, that would imply that we were the creators. If that were the case, nothing would have existed before we did. Answering that question would prove more difficult than the chicken and the egg.

In the Matrix trilogy, the underlying point is that machines cannot ultimately survive without humans. I wouldn't doubt that in the end, the lesson we must learn is that science cannot explain everything and the traditional way that religion believes humans are basically powerless and all things are up to God is completely incorrect.

The chicken and the egg question has already been answered my friend, and it was decided that the egg came first as whatever evolved into a modern day chicken laid the egg that the chicken hatched from wink2.gif
