whatever....

Why do you come on here? If i was not interested in this subject, then i would not be on here. You have no knowledge at all, scientific or otherwise. Thats the problrm with this forum. To many de-bunkers who know nothing at all about the subject. You are an example. I told you that MID was long before the film, and insted of you writing fair enough, you write whatever, and the reason why you just write that, is because you have nothing else tp say. I wish the decent skeptics would say something about these people too, but they dont, which is a shame. Its like, as long as they dont believe in ET coming here, then they must be ok, which is a bad way to look at de-bunkers on here.

Sodium pentathol don't know it's spelled correctly, Basically what it does is make whoever's injected loopy or puts them in kind of a trance like state to where the subject will give up any information they might have on ufo's or what have you, It also allows the person that is interrogating the person to give them alternative memories, Or if you tell the suject that they've never seen what they claimed to have witnessed

Thanks, i thought it would be something like this yes.gif

The movie has little to with reported MIB encounters. In the movie, the MIB are human agents charged with giving aliens a safe haven on Earth. They have the power to 'flash' people and erase their memories of certain incidents.

In reported cases, MIB appear and behave in such a manner that make you question whether they are even human (assuming the stories are true, of course) They intimidate the witnesses into not talking, rather than erasing memory.

As I said before, I have reason to doubt the stories, but I love the concept- mysterious agents who come to intimidate but sort of bumble around, putting Jello into their pockets, wear clothing and use slang from the wrong time period, wear lipstick, run low on energy, etc.

Uth - you are exactly right - The Movie Men In Black, is nothing more than a techno sci-fi comedy.

MIB are more along the lines of what you suggested: Intimidate w/extreme need. Even suggest the possiblity of your life in danger if you talk - with out crossing the line of actual threat.

These guys are nasty and no their craft as well as those in the Navy Seals or Delta Squads. They are PRO's.

Well all i can say is try reading up on MIB before you take the p*ss. There are many books out there, and esp one from jenny randles. Its a very interesting read, and im sure you would find interesting. Then when you know a bit about them, then come back and tell us what you think then.

Oh, well...

Could there be possibilities they could be monitoring anything mentioning the MIB in the Internet? That could be kind of interesting..

A lot of the early MIB stories came through Gray Barker. It's been alleged that he was involved with hoaxing them, exagerating them or even staging them.

MIB are still reported, and Barker's dead. But one long debate has been whether they are govt agents or alien in origin. The stranger aspects of MIB stories suggest alien. It could be that the strange aspects are hoaxed, and credible MIB sightings are govt agents. (not all alleged encounters exhibit inexplicable behavior).

Gray Barker was an aquantance of mine as we lived in the same town and I still live there. Before meeting Mr. Barker I had a mild interest in UFO's
in the early 60's and had read several books. But until I met Mr.Barker I had never heard of the MIB. That is strange

The story goes something like this...

Barker met someone from CT named Albert Bender. Bender was interested in setting up an international UFO group, and Barker was going to head up the WV chapter. Bender thought he discovered the truth about UFOs and was writing a book. He mailed the manuscripts out. One day three mysterious men in black suits and glowing eyes show up with his manuscript. They confirmed that he had indeed figured out the truth, and they gave him more info. They demanded that he forget about publishing his book and shut down his organization. Bender was so terrified that he complied.

This was the first of that pattern of MIB encounter.

Barker told this story in a book called "They knew too much about flying saucers". Some years later he persueded Bender to publish his 'forbidden' work. Bender did, but it was supposedly a bizarre, incomprehensible book that seemed unlikely to be the real truth.

It's speculated that Barker may have realized that Bender was a bit of a Kook, so he may have staged this encounter to give Bender a scare, and to have something to write about. Or he may have made it up outright. One of Barker's collegues confessed that he and Barker simply made stuff up when they ran out of good material.

But you are right, many of the classic MIB stories come from Barker. John Keel has some MIB encounters in the Mothman Prophecies, but turns out that Barker was in the area. One of the MIBs that a news reporter encounter said he was a friend of Barker's, and went on to trash John Keel. Keel said that he caught Barker making prank calls to him.

Come on MID. If you want to de-bunk something, you need to know about it first, and with the comment you just made you are not willing to find more information about MIB, but you are still willing to take the p*ss. Believer or skeptic, thats not the way to go about things. Its very ignornat and arragont, and really shows that you dont really care about the information, because basiclly, your mind is made up. Very open minded!

Now if you, and other people turned around and said, i read up and still think its nonsense, then no one can really argue with you. I have seen many cases, and have been confused about an object. When i have spoken to someone who knows more, they explain it, then it makes sense. An example it the nasa footage of the disc shapped object by the moon. I thought it was strange, until someone explained to me what it was. You have to learn to get the best out of this subject, and with an open mind, and not just on a mission to de-bunk everything, with a taking a p*ss attidude on something you really know nothing about(MIB) as you have shown.

Here's a famous example of the more bizarre type of MIB encounter

In September 1976, Dr Herbert Hopkins, a 58 year-old doctor and hypnotist, was acting as consultant on an alleged UFO teleportation case in Maine, USA. One evening, when his wife and children had gone out leaving him alone, the telephone rang and a man identifying himself as vice-president of the New Jersey UFO Research Organisation asked if he might visit Dr Hopkins that evening to discuss certain details of the case. Dr Hopkins agreed; at the time, it seemed the natural thing to do. He went to the back door to switch on the light so that his visitor would be able to find his way from the parking lot, but while he was there, he noticed the man already climbing the porch steps. "I saw no car, and even if he did have a car, he could not have possibly gotten to my house that quickly from any phone," Hopkins later commented in delayed astonishment. (Remember, this was before the days of cell phones)

At the time, Dr Hopkins felt no particular surprise as he admitted his visitor, The man was dressed in a black suit, with black hat, tie and shoes, and a white shirt, "I thought, he looks like an undertaker," Hopkins later said. His clothes were immaculate - suit unwrinkled, trousers sharply creased. When he took off his hat, he revealed himself as completely hairless, not only bald but without eyebrows or eyelashes. His skin was dead white, his lips bright red. In the course of their conversation, he happened to brush his lips with his grey suede gloves, and the doctor was astonished to see that his lips were smeared and that the gloves were stained with lipstick!

It was only afterwards, however, that Dr Hopkins reflected further on the strangeness of his visitor's appearance and behaviour. Particularly odd was the fact that his visitor stated that his host had two coins in his pocket. It was indeed the case. He then asked the doctor to put one of the coins in his hand and to watch the coin, not himself. As Hopkins watched, the coin seemed to go out of focus, and then gradually vanished. "Neither you nor anyone else on this plane will ever see that coin again," the visitor told him. After talking a little while longer on general UFO topics, Dr Hopkins suddenly noticed that the visitor's speech was slowing down. The man then rose unsteadily to his feet and said, very slowly; "My energy is running low - must go now - goodbye." He walked falteringly to the door and descended the outside steps uncertainly, one at a time. Dr Hopkins saw a bright light shining in the driveway, bluish-white and distinctly brighter than a normal car lamp. At the time, however, he assumed it mt be the stranger's car, although he neither saw nor heard it.

I remember that story too. It was from TimeLife's "Mysteries of the Unexplained". Great book. I have another book written by J. Allen Hynek in 1972 entitled "The UFO Experience", in one of the chapters he mentions in passing, three men, dressed in black who arrived to look at wreckage the USAF had collected. They were never seen again and inquiries as to who sent them turned up nothing. In the book he didn't make much about it.

All I can think of is Commander Data dressed in a suit for some Dixon Hill Holodeck adventure....but that's just me. original.gif

actually they look pretty normal besides the sunglasses at night....they dress to fit in...their role is mainly as clean up guys...if you were to see ufo's in your neighborhood....these guys wouldnt be far behind....sometimes alien ships get into the woods.. so they work with relative ease from public scrutiny...
