Human soul consists of two components: opening and closing. They are opposite, the same as breath and expiration is, and cannot exist one without another. In a state of opening, a person accepts surroundings ingenuously, in unity, infinity, without thinking, just with sensation and emotion inside.

In practice these two states should be divided into two sides: active and passive. Thus, a four-part circle is formed. A person practically can feel only a domination of every of these states.

A state of active opening or active exterior meditation of "flight"
(when the state of active opening predominates for a longer time)

It is a state of breath, morning, spring, sun, childhood. Its features are lightness, flight, surprise, joy. There is neither thinking nor activeness of physical force. This state sometimes intensifies negative emotions, so before strengthening this state you should eliminate negative thoughts and strengthen the positive ones.

A state of passive opening or passive exterior meditation of "unity with surroundings" (when the state of passive opening predominates for a longer time) It is a state of stopping of the opening, a day, the youth, the summer. Its features: unity with surroundings, infinity, liberty, immortality. There is neither thinking nor activeness of physical force. Negative psychological disposition does not allow to have a quality sensation of this state.

A state of active closing or a state of "physical force"

It is a state of expiration, physical force, evening, autumn. It is a state of active action, where physical force predominates over mind.

A state of passive closing or "mind"

It is a state of closing inside, night, winter and thinking. Its features: process of thinking, concentration of attention, revealed differences, cause and consequence relation, hierarchy, progress are determined. Deep closing inside is an inner meditation. It is a state of tranquility and relaxation. A state of mind often predominates over the other ones in social life.

P.S. In a process of development of an intellect, rational understanding of a soul is needed.

You posted this all as if it came right out of a textbook.. but keep in mind that you have posted an opinion, these are not facts.. because the mere existence of a soul is questionable and debatable.

Why post in just to type that?????? Who are you trying to convince here that this is an opinion? Yourself???? You could have at least shown why the mere existence of a soul is questionable. You not articulate enough? Because it also isnt a fact that the soul does not exist and you saying that it is only an opinion to say it does exist is also just YOUR OPINION.

Why are you getting upset? He's right. Why? Well, where's the evidence?

Ok then what would you consider evidence? Also how do we know God is a personal entity in the heavens and not an impersonal indefinable substance like consciousness? Some consider creation to be enough evidence that it has it's cause in God.

Also consider quantum mechanics the notion that an observer is always needed or necessary for reality to exist. No consciousness equals no reality and in India the Hindus equate God with consciousness. Science cannot physically define consciousness. You cant put consciousness underneath a microscope and look at it's features. It defies the physical senses yet we know without consciousness we wouldnt even be aware of the physical senses.

Descartes, the author of the phrase "I think therefore I am" determined that the essence of a human beings existence is not on the physical properties of the body but in his mind. The mind acts, the body reacts.

It is therefore essential to introduce this element in a quest for the spiritual element in human beings. If a human being has a spirit then it is linked to our body through the mind. Our mind works in a way that is not directly linked to the body and is thus capable of discerning the spirit within.

It is interesting to note that Gods only known name for himself, and not one given by humans is "I AM". This is how he identified himself to Moses.

So 6,000 years ago, Descartes principle was already in use as the definition of God. IF we have an element of God at all in ourselves, it is our minds which is our link to the Spiritual nature of God.

The the physical world is intermately linked with the mind for the physical world is viewed in the brain (all the different sense cortexes) and the brain is a perception of the "mind" or "consciousness".

Yes "I AM" is the best name for God. And when it is applied it means nothing other than the self.
