This all started last night. In the middle of the night I thought I was being stared at. When I opened my eyes there was this dark figure in the corner of my room. I tried to go back to sleep hoping it was a dream. I went to sleep for about 15 or 20 mins. I woke up cause I heard my cat hissing....I pulled my head out from the cover and the figure was right by my bed. Then when I got home today(I was home alone) I felt like I was being watched. Then I thought i heard footsteps upstairs. The part that really freaked my out was when I went back into my room and my closet door was wide open and I know I closed it this morning. Also some my clothes were on the floor that belonged in the drawers. Can someone help me?

Sounds strange.. Was it just a black figure? Could you see a face or anything? The cat hissing sounds about right as animals can see ghosts or sense them.. Does anybody else live with you? Have they seen or heard anything out of the ordinary?

Your profile is somewhat blank?! any reason for this covertness? If you are genuine the answer is simple. Have no fear, fear makes you weak. Be strong and confront this shadow at every turn. If it moves toward you be strong and boldly advance. Command it to leave you with no doubt in your heart.

I'm not so sure about that..
He joined at 3:32 am yet he posted at 11:19 pm.. So he must have had some motivation to join in the first place then wait all that time, almost 24 hours, to tell anybody?
Why didn't he post when he joined?
Who knows the answer lol.. Maybe when he tells us more about the incident we'll know more but for now i'm keeping an open mind on the matter.

One thing I have noticed is that when some people are interested in supernatural activities they will sometimes wish or ask for an experience. Even if he just got on last night perhaps his curiousity fueled a encounter. Some info such as this would help out in trying to figure out what is happening to him.

I'm sure that people out there believe more strongly in ghosts and wish for weeks and still see nothing.. It's a little rare for an over night thing like this to happen, especialy one that's able to tape dance on the ceiling and open doors.. Sounds like something that'd have to manifest over a few weeks to me.

I suggest doing a cleansing of the household. If it is making you feel threatened in any way, then it is best that you get rid of the spirit. Just don't start yelling at the spirit, because that will just make it feel threatened.. and it might do more than what it's currently doing. Ask it nicely to leave if it means you harm, but good entities are welcomed!

I agree.. I never yell at a spirit or entity.. Whenever they come to me at night i say something like "could you please leave i'd like to sleep.." and the good ones always do.. Don't think i've ever met a bad one but then again i never speak to them 'cos i'm hiding under the blankets like a coward >.< I should really start trying to talk..
Like he said just ask it politely to leave if it's still there then ask it again and if it still doesn't leave tell it you may have to have it removed but that could be a bad idea really depending on the "subject" you're dealing with lol.

Could it be.. (just throwing the idea out there) that the user joined this forum, so that they could get some answers? Just a thought.
Personally, I'd be searching all over the net if I saw something really strange! (Which is how I found UM anyway)
I think the user is a lil' too paranoid. It could really just be her mind playing tricks on him/her.. but hey, I'm not a paranormal investigator or anything.
Neither do I have any credible evidence to say that I am a true UM poster. I could be an alien or a schizophrenic accessing the library's computer for all you know. (The latter actually,

This is not allways the case. It doesnt matter if you believe or not. Or if you wish or beg or plead. Encounters are random.
I know of hundreds of ecounters that have happened this way. The spirit world is one of the most mysterious frontiers. To catagorise or label rules or anything of the such would be completely impossible. Spirits dont need to manifest or build up. They are either there or their not. There is no weak or powerful spirits there are just spirits.

Why the suspicion? or did I miss something......It's pretty normal around here to see people joining up to get advise or share an experience when it's just happened.
To the OP, I would do as suggested already, have a firm word and ask it to leave if that's what you want. It's important to set the boundries and mean what you say, it's your house and living space and sometimes they just need to be reminded

I guess that sometimes they may even forget that they're not living entities.
I don't mind if a spirit wants to "share" my home as long as it respects my wishes and doesn't become a menace.

The bottom line is that spirits do not belong in our world. When you accept such a thing as a spirit you are giving it power to dwell that it didnt have before. Think of them as that mooch friend that allways comes over univited and eats all your food and borrows clothes without asking. Just like the mooch they will eventually become nusance. And just like the mooch the more freedom or acceptance you give it the harder it will be to make either leave when you want it to or when it gets annoying or freaky.

Then wouldnt you agree that such spirits as the ones you have stated would leave after talking or getting the help they needed? Another question I have will work as another example that I have. If you heard a voice calling you like, "Hey you come here!" Or "Hey you come help me." in a dark creepy alley in a bad neighborhood would you go to the voice or be skeptical of the owner of the voice and keep on walking?

Well i don't mean to sound blunt or anything but what you experienced would spook anybody... Maybe it's paranoya tht you believe you're being watched..
Silly solution but try doing something you enjoy, watch some cartoons, read a book, listen to some music.. Something to take your mind off it and stop you thinking about what happened? If you don't feel better after that then maybe there is something but like i said do something to take your mind off it and then see if you still feel the same. Curiosity or maybe a quest for power

JK I know your question was purely retorical. People don't realise they don't always get whats written on the box when they summon an entity.

It's like my friend Tiffany.. She keeps telling me how she's just dying to try a ouija board just for the fun of it.. I've advised her against it many times but some people just don't listen.
