has anyone's dream ever came true?

Yes, I've had about a handful of dreams that have come true. The only one that was a major event was regarding 9-11.
A few months before 9-11 hit, I kept having this feeling that something was going to happen in New York. I brought it up to my channeling class, and they dismissed me...saying it was symbolism. I kept dreaming of large buildings and bridges.
A month before 9-11 hit I got a job at the cbot (chicago board of trade)
The dreams kept happening, and then a couple of weeks before 9-11 hit the dream changed. I saw the twin towers from an aerial view. It really felt like I was there. It felt like the wind was blowing against me. (the wind in my dream felt just like when I went skydiving.) All of a sudden the buildings melted. It kinda was like a Dali painting, and this mushroom cloud started rising up at the same time. I was really aware that I was dreaming, and I said something like ah this dream is nothing...buildings don't melt.... A voice spoke to me and said they do if that is your intention.... I got mad. I woke up, and said something like that's stupid, why would I want to melt a building. To my surprise, the voice spoke to me after I woke up and said with the power of intention you can do anything. I yelled at the voice, and said, well then it is not my intention to melt a building. A couple of weeks later the buildings melted anyway....

Well, there's not a definite answer to the question "Do dreams come true?" Some come true, most don't. I've had numerous dreams come true, or mostly true, but it's always little things, nothing bigtime.
Say, if anybody has a prophetic dream, they should post here, and we can see if it comes true.

read carlos casteneda especially THE ART OF DREAMING for an answer that everyone can understand and even master. anyone who hears 'the voice of dreaming' will hear it awake and/or asleep. its an art we all can learn but one may find they wish they never learned the way as it is frightening for most. also known as remote viewing and lucid dreaming.

gold dust woman...I have dreams that come true and I love that I can do this.It has helped me with my health and other very important issues (life and death matters). It 'directs' me.
What do you mean that it is usually frightening to most people? And,what is 'it'?!

I have had many "prophetic" dreams, some have been good and some have been bad.I don't mind the simple, trivial ones but the ones about death, someone getting hurt, etc.do bother me and seem scary at times.

what i mean is when one learns the art of dreaming, one may encounter 'beings' within their dreams that have an agenda that is not positive. perhaps i misunderstood your question. dreams that come true are prophetic and may not always be 'positive'. some folks wish it away when the prophetic dreams are of plane crashes, family deaths, etc..
the voice that tells one things - awake and asleep - may not say what one wants to know, but theres no way to 'unlearn' the art once one has reached that level.
i believe that the art of dreaming - behaving with volition in dreams just like when awake- in other words acting and choosing what one will do in a dream just like we do when awake - may be different than prophetic dreams - dreams that actually tell the future. so, sorry if i'm confusing the two.
i've only had a few dreams that came true, and they were negative events which occurred within my family. however, when i learned the dreaming art and began to decide what i would do in my dreams, that was cool at first. then i encountered the 'voice' and THAT is what i found to be scarey.
i have many, many more lucid dreams than prophetic dreams ans this is what compelled me to post in this topic.

sweet dreams to all......
btw 'it' is the voice
how does it direct you? is it a dreaming voice? do you hear it awake and asleep, or at all? thanx ... c

I had a few dreams that I was sure were gonna come true, and they didn't. The dreams were lucid and details about objects were correct. ( I hope that makes sense) The actual events in the dream did not come true, and it really disappointed me. I notice I only get like this with dreaming, not with other things tho. I don't, at least I don't think I do, get caught up in tarot predictions or automatic writings...

Most of My dreams come true, I can think of two that didn't....It's not that I dream about major events, when I dream it's USUALLY about average stuff, like I'll dream about having a pop quiz in history, the next day I'll have a pop quiz in History....I don't dream about everything either. I never had a dream about 9/11 or lots of other major events...the two dreams I've had that didn't come true were both about murder....they scare me because I wonder so much whether or not they will come true....

I have lots of dream about average stuff. At least I used to. I mostly can't remember them my dreams now. Just the feelings. Also I talk in my sleep, so I will wake myself up,and finish the sentence I was saying in the dream. I won't remember the dream just the last sentence.
I had like two dreams where I am pretty positive that I shared with someone else. I suspect that happens more often...but people don't discuss there dreams enough

My whole family and I experience dreams coming true. We also have flashbacks, kinda like Pheobe from Charmed, but not by touch. Just happens without cause.
My Mom gets dreams all the time but I on the other hand have a lot of De ja Vue and blame it on a dream that I then remember having. For me it's just every day events or things that could of happened but due to the dream or flashback, take a different path.
With a majority of the dreams, I have noticed with our family, its because the event has already happened and due to reasons, the person hasn't told the rest of the family. So one of us will dream about the event and then ask that person if it happened. That's how the cat usually gets out of the bag in our house.
Kinda sucks when something embarrasing or depressing happens that you don't want a family member to know. Like your Mom or sisters.

Mine do quite often. One that particuarly sticks out in my mind, and I will NEVER forget it....
One nice summer day I was off from work and sleeping in. I woke up drenched in sweat, in a state of panic and extreem fear. I just knew somethign had happend to my grandma. I thought she'd been in a car accident.
So I called my mom because grandma had a hair appointment with her that morning. She had made it to the appointment and was fine. So I proceeded to call grandma and find out for sure - she was fine - no car accident.

On August 13 we had to take my grandma to the hospital because she was having diffuclty breathing. She was admitted the same day and they immediately (within a matter of a day) diagnosed her with cancer. She was having trouble breathing because the tumors were pressing against her lungs. It was completely through her.

There was absolutely nothing they could do or that we could do except sit and watch her die. She passed on September 13 (which just so happend to be a Friday).

My brother and mom also has dreams like this. As a matter of fact mom also had a preministic dream about grandma about a week before she went into the hospital.
I believe my dream was a preminition of this....never ignore your dreams - what if they are right and trying to tell you something.

Quick thought on that note:
Maybe our futures Are plotted, and the dreams are sort of a "get ready for this" kinda situation. The 9/11 dream someone mentioned earlier could be a testament for that. I've had dreams where I've dreamt the commonly known "Deja Vu" dreams and I've dreamt the "Woah, i REALLY hope to god that never happens" dreams. People i know claim to have spirit guides and all sorts of "insight" into the unseen. MAybe these guides tap into our dreams and show us what they think we need to see. Maybe the person who had the 9/11 dream had some kind of connection with New York, or knew someone that would be there that day, or knew someone who knew someone and so on. Dreams are funny things, that a LOT of things are revealed in. From embarrasing moments between family and friends, to everyday hanging out with your friends, to predictions about something bad that could happen to someone you love. I've experienced them all as i'm sure you all have as well. I tend to look for a lot of answers to MY life questions in what i dream.
And i think i will look up the suggestion of guiding your dreams. I have a lot of 'splainin' to do when it comes to choices i've made.....

A couple of my friends who told me about their guides DO have names for them. When i told them that i was getting visited in my house by an unseen presence, (never mentioning that i could just have a ghost in my house, LOL) they said that i should go get a reading and see if the reader picks up on it and tells me if it was a ghost or a guide. I never went to get read, but while i lived in that house i was never more intuitive before! At night i dreamt of things that came true all the time. From everyday deja vu, to suprises that i didn't think could happen (i.e. My husband coming home early from sea, me going to Japan *which i found out i was going about a month after dreaming about it, LOL* and the birth of my daughter) My friend tried doing a reading for me to find out what my guides name was, and it came out to be (According to her) Morning Star. Apparently she had read that my guide was a Native American Woman from the cherokee tribe. *funny side note, my family is descended from a line of Cherokee Indians that ended up in Oklahoma. My Grandpa is half and my grandmother is half. She didn't know that at the time she was reading for me, so i thought that was kinda interesting.* I would suggest getting a book that helps you contact your spirit guides through meditation and dreams. I wish i could suggest one to try, but it's up to you to ultimately choose the right one for YOU. I chose to get involved with Tarot, and that path opened me up more then anything else ever has.
So good luck and i hope you find your inner guide as well!

Yes, I have. The other dream I had besides 9/11 was one regarding my ex. I dreamt of his house. I had never seen his house. When I went to his house, everything was right where I dreamt it. The layout of the house, even a spiral staircase. The only thing is, the dream was really positive, like we were going to get back together, but we didn't in fact the meeting was nasty from the start. It kinda shocked me cause the stuff that I considered irrelevant like the house layout was correct. That kinda turned me off to dreams tho...

Monkeegirl, I did get a reading done, after it happened. I can't remember the exact words the tarotist used...she said something like I was there. Our souls/consciousness can be in more than one body. That I was there, and I died. I don't know if I accept that tho. My own personal belief at the moment, is that there is a collective consciousness, and I tapped into it. I believe it was a request (not sure if it was god, spirit guide, higher self) to put in other energy. Thought has a lot of power. You can show someone you hate or love them without saying a word. The voice said, it was the power of intention.

I kinda of flip flop with that belief... I've come to the conclusion with tarot/dreams we are predicting trends. Kinda like when they predict the weather. Today, based on past trends, there was a prediction of snow...instead it rained all day.
Another way to look at it is like this...In lots of metaphysical things I read...it states we have a blueprint, and we wrote our blueprint. Now that seems like we don't have free will, right, but we do. For example, I have 3 options on bus routes to work. All 3 options will get me there. One route will take me directly there. The other one would probably get me closer to the door, but would require a transfer. The third route, would require me to leave a half hour earlier. My freewill lets me choose how to get from point a to point b. Our free will lets us choose how to learn our lessons.

I fully agree with the power of collective consciousness. If there wasn't one, how could any of us predict ANYTHING. That gut feeling you get before taking a trip that tells you NOT to get on that plane/train/boat/car whatever. It's there for a reason. A blueprint is exactly what psychics like to call your "fate" as it were in life. Some blueprints end at a certain point, while other's continue on. I dunno if i buy into the whole thing about your soul can be in two places and in two bodies at once. That would kinda cut into the whole, every spirit and mind is unique wouldn't it? You'd never feel as if you were your OWN person. But a borrowed piece of someone else. At least i would. I believe our souls can tap into other people's and connect, share information, and so on. THAT is the collective conscious to me. I believe we have guides living and dead. I believe dreams are the easiest way to communicate that knowledge we need from them. I'm all about the dream state, and finding meanings in them, Psychological and intuition wise. When they come true i either do a silent "thank you" to whatever powers chowed me that first, or if it helps me work out a demon that i had about a person i just kinda shrug and say, "well at least i understand that NOW."
But back to the collective consciousness. When you mentioned your dream about 9/11 , Sarkypi, and the collective conscious, it made me realize something that had happened to me. I was living in Hawaii at the time 9/11 happened and was about 6 hours behind New York's time zone. At 3:05 am i woke up with a HUGE bolt and nearly fell out of my bed in the process. My husband was out to sea and in port in Singapore when it happened. I didn't know why i had woken up that way, so i tried to go back to sleep. It didn't work and during that time everytime i closed my eyes i thought i heard crying, which would make my eyes pop back open. Then 5 minutes later my phone rang. It was my husband's best friend telling me to turn on the news because the Trade center had just been hit. I nearly dropped the phone when i saw what had happened. My husband clicked in just then and asked what was going on and i had to explain to him as i watched the news what was happening. All he knew was that they were put on alert and all the officers were scrambling around like chickens with their heads cut off. So why did i wake up without knowing what was going on 5,000 miles a way? I Blame it on the collective conscious....................

I am thinking about what you said and I will get a book on spirit guides...I believe I have some books with that subject in them.Do you still have this spirit guide?Did anyone else back at that house have intuitive dreams like you? So, your dreams have sort of become less intuitive, now that you are out of this house?
What does the tarot do for you and your psychic abilities?
monkeegirl
Dec 6 2003, 04:39 AM
Hey Babs, To answer your questions:
I have become less intuitive i think, because i turned it off. My guide started to manifest herself in the physical (moving things around my house, freaking out my cats) that sort of thing. It didn't really get to me until i actually saw her one night. It really threw me because i SOOO didn't expect
THAT! After seeing her, (i hate to admit it) but i got scared and stopped reading all together. I had gotten to the point that when i did tarot readings, i would start to actually get names, ages, and places and certain info i shouldn't have known on the person i was reading for. Turned out i was being tapped by other people's spirits to communicate with those i was reading. I KNOW it sounds far fetched, but it happened. My best friend's reading once was interupted because her older sister wanted to say hello. (Her sister had died by a self inflicted gun shot wound to the head. And she wanted her to know that she was okay) I told her things that even as her best friend i hadn't known about. I turned it off because some people can handle the psychic load. I couldn't. Now and then when i pick up my cards, i feel COMPLETELY rusty. I haven't done a reading in almost a year. *but your seriously making me think i should take it up again*
For me, the Tarot is more then reading about your future, it's about what's going on INSIDE the person your reading for that helps them understand more of why they're in the direction they are. I HATE giving negative readings, so if you decide to take it up, always take them to a positive place. It will help keep your "space" clear of whatever negative forces surround the person. The tarot helped not only to open me up to the universe and collective thought, but it also REALLY opened up my abilities of intution. I believe my guide is just waiting for me to be ready again, to accept her, and welcome her. I kinda told her out loud when she manifested herself one night, to go away *I was in bed about to fall asleep, when i felt the bed press down next to me and a hand rest on my back. I Turned the light on next to my bed, a little freaked out mind you, and said, "I'm Sorry I'm not ready for this." And with that, my cats ran out of the room and a laundry basket that had been sitting on top of my dresser at the foot of my bed, went crashing onto the floor. It was like someone had thrown it down in anger.* I have this story posted in another thread about living in a haunted house. Who knows, maybe she was a ghost and spirit guide? Anyhow, just make sure you're ready for it, because when you open yourself up, you'll be VERY suprised at what you get. Good LUCK!!!

I have dreams that come true. But there strange and here is why. I will have a very fantastic dream that is so real, I tell myself while I am dreaming that it is in fact a dream. But then when I am trying to recall the dream, a single memory will stand out of something very mundane, like a chair or the flowers. Then later out of the blue I will see that very flower or chair.
It’s like taking a photo of something, losing the photo and finding the subject of the photo.

Don't we all.
Actually, that made plenty of sense.
I suppose this is a little off-topic, but who here has recurring dreams? I have a couple of primetime regulars, as well as characters who reprise their roles from time to time.
Example: I've had numerous dreams of minimal variation in which my older brother gets killed by some wound to the throat.

Sometimes it's an arrow, sometimes a knife, eeek. I pray
that one doesn't come true.
There was also a series of dreams I had that weren't the same, but involved the same people. In the first one I "met" this girl named Mary, who lived with her single mother, I don't know where. Later, I had a follow-up dream that sort of explained their situation. The father had died after slipping on some ice and hitting his head, which left his wife, their daughter Mary, and son, Robert to sort of fend for themselves. I also had a third dream about the same people that I can't recall very well.
Anyway, that was kinda strange, I was wondering if anybody else had a sort of continuing story like that in their dreams.

I have a couple of primetime regulars, as well as characters who reprise their roles from time to time. Example: I've had numerous dreams of minimal variation in which my older brother gets killed by some wound to the throat. Sometimes it's an arrow, sometimes a knife, eeek. I pray that one doesn't come true. Anyway, that was kinda strange, I was wondering if anybody else had a sort of continuing story like that in their dreams. |

i have a recurring dream about a house. I have dreamt about this house since i was 6 yrs old or so. the house is always changing, there new rooms where are should be deadend or vice versa. and the house is hunted, the olnly room in house that never changes is bedroom with a large bed and nothing else. I always open the door and scream out a pryer, i grow up in a religious household, and then i go one my way.
