First of all hello fellow members .

Now to what happened.

Me and my friend Scott were just leaving from a party at our high school,We had gone maybe a few feet.When we heard the noise of maybe gravel being softly smoothed,I turned around suddenly,Nothing their,We started walking (very fast paced) towards home,Then out of nowhere the noise started up,My friend Scott said to me "Dude,What is that!",I turned around rather quickly,What i saw still gives me goosebumps but what i saw confused me even more,A boy around my age perhaps older hanging by a rope in the air,No tree no ceiling.Heres the stranger part he was wearing our school uniform from wayy back like the early 80's,The even more scary thing is he said "You did this to me,John." strange thing is,my name isnt even John.We ran home as fast as possible,I told my parents and they seemed far to calm,They said "We never told you?,A boy hung himself years ago in the school basement",I didnt sleep for nights.Any other simliar things ever happen?

I've heard the UL about a boy hanging himself on Halloween and party goers left him there for a cay or two thinking that he was just a realistic looking decoration. I've never heard the story as you posted it here though.

i live in Bradenton Florida which is is on the southern coast of Tampa Bay and the Sunshine SKyway is the bridge that connects Tamp with Bradenton

many years ago the old Skyway bridge had an accdent which killed quite a few people where a boat took out a few pillings and people in there cars fell to there death but a Greyhound Bus with a large sum of people in it fell aslo but there is an urban legend that the bus still haunts the new bridge

well when i was 12 it was my birthday August 14th and there was a horrible storm coming through me and my parents were going southbound coming from my uncles house , well the storm clouds were so bad that it looked like no sun light could pierce the clouds it was pitch black clouds but going up one side of the bridge we saw a greyhound bus 2 cars lengths ahead of us and when we reached the top of the bridge we could barely see ahead of us because the clouds were so dark, when we breached the clouds on the other side of the bridge the Bus was gone i remember my dad saying " uhh where did that bus go, it was just here in front of us" remeberd that day like it was yesterday, i couldnt wait to get home

There is a legend in my town that a school janitor/caretaker hung himself on the school stage.

I'd look and see what people named John were going to the school at the time he hung.

As for me, I've never experinced anything like this. Although here in my town a few people...I think five, hung themselves aound the same time. Creepy thing is, they didn't know each other.

I'd have to agree with American Chupacabra, check out school records and make a list of the Johns. I'd be interested to hear more about this.

Ok here's an update on the whole "John" thing

There was a boy called John in the same class as the boy that hung himself,Oh the kid that hung himself was called "Rory Morson",This kid John apparently committed suicide a few days after Rory's death,If i find out more ill post here

Anyhow, Thats a good story, I can't wait to find out m ore.

At the highschool that I went to, there was an accident in the little theatre somebody fell off the balcony and landed in the back row and died supposedly. So we would all get spooked in the theatre at nighttime, and day time for that matter. Especially when it was me by myself closing up.....Yuck it gives me shivers just thinking about it.

Considering I live right behind a college where a female student hung herself like decades ago... That's creepy.

I havent' figured out which building the girl hung herself in. Kinda too scared to look around on my own. *Ish a pansy okay*

Man... and right now I could soooooooooooo go for a coffee at the shop that's just across campus. Four blocks away...

That actually happened. A woman killed herself in her yard and everyone just left her there until someone realized she wasn't a decoration.
I suspect that was when she began to decay/smell.

I've been searching around and their are tons of legends/myths that involve someone hanging themselves.

That's not fair!! Why couldn't there have been someone who hanged themselves at my school??

Is there any chance you could get access to the archives of the school? That way you can probably find out almost anything - was there a John or Rory expelled/suspended for harming/attaking etc the other?

It'll probably take a while to get access but when you do, let us know, yeah?

The apparent suicide of a woman found hanging from a tree went unreported for hours because passers-by thought the body was a Halloween decoration, authorities said.

According to Yahoo!/ AP, The 42-year-old woman used rope to hang herself across the street from some homes on a moderately busy road late Tuesday or early Wednesday, state police said.

The body, suspended about 15 feet above the ground, could be easily seen from passing vehicles.

State police spokesman Cpl. Jeff Oldham and neighbors said people noticed the body at breakfast time Wednesday but dismissed it as a holiday prank. Authorities were called to the scene more than three hours later.

“They thought it was a Halloween decoration,” Fay Glanden, wife of Mayor William Glanden, told The (Wilmington) News Journal.

“It looked like something somebody would have rigged up,” she said."
