I heard that on Coast to Coast am several times. Fisrt time I heard it it scared the bejeezers outta me. Now I think it's pretty much a hoax.
Mad Manfred
It's fake. It circulated the interwebz for a few years till some guy in Eastern Europe came forward and said that he created the tape for some kind of experiment/art piece or whatever and had no idea it was all over the net.
StoneAgeQueen
LMAO! Of course it's a hoax!

That's the noise I've been hearing in my head since I quit smoking!

If it were real, can you imagine the score in the occult community, if you built underground houses near that sound? laugh.gif You'd sell out to masochists in less than a week! rofl.gif

This topic has been posted before, and it's not any more real now. I like the Art Bell show, however I think what occurs in cases like this is when he features recordings like this, his fans that hold his opinions credible, think it must be real. As if the show researches the claimants that appear, so as to bring viewers the closest possible truth. And I don't think Mr.Bell has ever claimed as much. I think he sits in the chair of a journalist that says, his responsibility is to disseminate the information, and the listeners responsibility is to discriminate when hearing the information.

And just think. If this were real, think how many Tele-Evangelists would be exploiting it for cash. It's sound effects would precede every revival in the country! "Hear that? You don't want to add your voice to that chorus, do yoooouuuuu!" linked-image

Ha, ha. How come everyone that supposedly records something so unbelievable or supernatural, has the crappiest recording gear?!! laugh.gif
For goodness sakes, how hard is it to buy a decent mic and a decent digital recorder? rofl.gif The answer is, its not hard at all. ph34r.gif

Well , with respect to this particular recording, was the recording equipment that hi-tech over all, in that time? Today, certainly! One would think this would merit another James Cameron expedition, to record the sounds of damnation. What a follow-up to the tomb of jesus, broadcast.

Then again, it's like the UFO video's and apparitions videos. I've heard people say the energies present , the radioactivity (in the case of the UFOs) , etc.. interfered with the recording quality. So maybe in the hell case, it's the sulfur fumes mucking up the Mic. tongue.gif

Could happen.

We had to listen to this at church when I was little. (I believe it's the same one anyway.) It scared me a lot back then. It was talked about all the time, as proof the Hell existed, it was talked about in the church bulliten, and in the chursh news letter. I must say, it's wonderful to have if you want to scare a 9 year old. crying.gif

crying.gif Yes, I imagine that would secure one's faith at that young impressionable stage, enough so they do everything they're told, so as not to end up in a place that sounds like that. A seemingly effective tool for emotional abuse and programming, almost cultish, I'd say.
I knew someone who's mother would tell them, every time someone in their family became terminally ill, that it was from the sin bearing down on their souls, that god punished them to suffer so. Imagine saying that, or in your case, playing that recording, and thinking it'll inspire one to be faithful to a god that makes people suffer in such ways. It's amazing what people do to one another, just to insure they stay faithful.

Are you still a member of that church?

Jesus Christ that's horrible. A similar thing happened to me. I was 8 and I kept smarting off to the pastor who was in my Sunday School class and he exploded by grabbing my shirt, lifting me off the ground and screamed in my face that I was going to hell.

On top of it, I got grounded and sent to my room.

LMAO... i heard this a few years ago... it sounds creepy... but i think it's a fake... for one... if hell was just a microphone's distance away... why would you stand there recording... no.gif

2) if you knew how to get to hell... why wouldn't you by the mountain and sell tickets for $25,000 each? disgust.gif

3) if you had an actual recording of hell... grin2.gif you could sell it on ebay... for a rediculous amount of money... which you could use to buy the mine or wherever it was... grin2.gif

for those reasons alone... i think it's a fake...

Ha! I remember hearing this for the first time when I was in 9th grade. A christian girl from school showed us a website of proof that hell is real. Of course we believed it then tongue.gif.

It's disgusting that a man whose job it was to care for you and teach you mistreated you like that. That sounds like a temper tantrum. Hmm, a grown man and a child misbehaving at the same time, not an effective way to teach. I'm sorry that happened to you.
Ghost Ship
Sure its fake but it gives you a kick in the pants, making you think whats waiting for the evil doers.

Oh it's okay. Jesus did the same thing to the people selling stuff in the temple.

It's really kind of the same thing.
