Bedroom visitations of a different kind.
There is a very common and disconcerting alien or humanoid encounter which is called a “bedroom visitation” which falls under the “Type E” alien encounter rating, essentially meaning an encounter with an alien or humanoid entity without the presence of an associated craft or object. The term bedroom visitation was coined during the 80’s and 90’s when such encounters seemed to have become more frequent, but have been occurring since the early days of Ufology.
One of the most common entity types reported in “bedroom visitations” are the so-called short “grays” which seemed to have gained popularity in the late 80’s and 90’s and are a media favorite (it seems that the media only knows one alien type), but from the beginning other bizarre humanoids or creatures have been visiting our bedrooms. Following is a list of such cases taken from the files of researchers and organizations worldwide.
Huron, Erie County Ohio, mid April 1976, during the night Vera Perry was awakened from sleep and glancing toward the doorway, saw a figure, standing upright, staring at her. He was about 6 foot tall, dressed in a grayish outfit with a thick neck, and was bare headed, apparently bald. The facial color was similar to a mushroom (pale gray?) and in the place of eyes were brownish tinged areas that curved around the side of the head. She could see no nose, and the mouth was merely a straight line. The figure stood motionless, when Ms Perry began screaming the entity vanished. (!) There was no interaction between Ms Perry and this entity, we note that it was gray in color but with unorthodox eyes not often reported. Some visitations can be quite unexpected in nature case in point:
Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico, May 1976 (same year) time around 2330, during the course of a very hot night the witness had been attempting to sleep while reading a novel and had left his patio door opened due to the extreme heat. Around 2330 he attempted to get up to close the door but found that he couldn’t move a muscle, at the same time he spotted a human-like figure standing at the bedroom door. The figure was covered from head to toe by a shiny ‘black” suit. The figure stood still without moving, while the terrified witness attempted to move but still could not. For 20 seconds the figure stood at the doorway and then it turned around and disappeared towards the direction of the darkened patio. At this moment the witness was able to move and jumped up closing the door to his bedroom. He quickly dressed and went to a nearby hotel where he stayed the rest of the night, still unable to sleep. (2) At times and thankfully our humanoid intruders are quite human like in appearance and the witness is less afraid:
Gomez Palacio, Mexico, January 2 1978, late night, a man was sitting in his front room reading late at night when he suddenly looked up to see a tall blond, blue eyed man in the room. The startled witness asked, “Who are you?” On receiving no reply he asked, “What are you doing here?” At this point the stranger, whose body was surrounded by a strange glow, turned around without touching the floor. The stranger, floated through the doors of two other rooms and into a patio at the rear of the house, followed by the witness. The glow around the man’s body increased and he flew up into the air and out of sight. (3). A truly bizarre case, considering the mode of travel of this particular intruder. A pair of human-like intruders surprised a female witness in Russia:
Rostov-on-Don, Russia, October 1982, night, a local resident, Mrs. Tatiana Surina was awakened at night by a gentle push. Near her bed she noticed two figures. A young woman with long golden hair and a blond haired man of average height. A bluish light surrounded both. The man was holding Tatiana’s hand at the wrist as if he was measuring her pulse. In a few moments a powerful humming sound was heard, resembling that of an electric transformer and both visitors vanished in plain sight. (4)
Other visitors could be definitely more unpleasant in nature as in the following incident:
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, January 1999, late night, Eva Trent had fallen asleep when she awoke to a buzzing sound. Opening her eyes she was horrified to find two strange creatures standing on either side of her bed. The entity to her right was about 7-8 ft tall, weighed about 300 pounds, had apparently no clothing and seemed to have either crocodile or snake type skin. The creature to her left was identical in appearance but smaller in height and weight. They seemed to be communicating in a chirping manner. Each of the entities eyes glowed. Eva quickly discovered that she was unable to move. As she stared at the two creatures she found that either one or both were giving her instructions telepathically. The nature of this was seemingly for her to create mentally visual scenes of various kinds and then “they” proceeded to distort that particular pleasant scene in a perverse manner. Apparently the creatures were intent not only to observe her emotion reaction, but also possibly to feed off the energy that was produced. After awhile Eva began to mentally resist the mind manipulation and began to pray earnestly. A short time later she fell back to sleep. The next morning the witness found 5 of her music tapes grossly distorted as if extreme heat had been applied. However no evidence of fire or odor was present. (5). A truly disturbing encounter, I always wondered if the praying really helped, maybe it helped Ms Trent relaxed enough in order for her to fight off these nasty intruders. Other visitors can be downright menacing case in point:
Moscow, Russia, April 1978, late evening, a woman was lying on her couch reading a book and after finishing reading the book she attempted to fall asleep. Suddenly she felt some pressure on her entire body, she was under the impression that some “load” had been dropped on her body. Perturbed, she looked around and saw a deep heavy fog entering the opened window. Suddenly from within the fog two very tall figures appeared, these were about 2.5-2.8 meters in height, dressed in luminous clothing with round and also luminous helmets. The figures approached the woman and leaned over her. At this point she heard some unintelligible speech. She wanted to move and turn away from them, but she was now unable to move, she was totally paralyzed. She begged them that it was getting heavy and that she was suffering. In an instant both figures disappeared the same way they had appeared, first into the fog, which then floated out the opened window. She was immediately able to move again. (6). It is possibly that the humanoids were not aware that they were causing great discomfort on the witness.
There are numerous “visitations” on record which are so frightening to the witnesses that evoke different reactions on the part of recipient or recipients.
West Virginia, exact location not given, January 25 2001, early morning a witness woke up from a sound sleep to see what looked like a hooded figure all in black standing in the doorway of the bedroom with its arms outstretched. The terrified witness hid beneath the covers and did not see the figure depart. (7) Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada, April 23 2001, late night. The witness awoke to a noise outside his door and saw a blue glow in the room. He then heard a loud buzzing sound, then his body went all tingly and numb and an immense feeling of fear came over him. He could not move or speak. He then noticed 2 small shadowy figures that were almost dancing around his bed, while he was trying to move. He managed to blurt out “Get out” and the figures and the light vanished. (8)
At times brief communication between the intruder (s) and the witness is reported, be it telepathic or otherwise. Szamotuly, Poznan, Poland, February 2001 around 0400A, a 21-year old woman woke up in her bedroom to find three strange creatures standing close to her bed. They communicated with her via telepathy. They told her that she was one of them and had a special mission to do on earth. (No specifics on that) The humanoids were small and thin. They wore dark gray suits and had small thin heads. (9) Some of the encounters are indeed intrusions of the most embarrassing kind. Amasya Turkey, July 23 2001, 2130, the witness, a young mother, was breastfeeding her baby in her fourth floor apartment when she turned her head and saw a strange humanoid in front of the balcony door and curtain. After a few seconds the humanoid suddenly disappeared. She described it as about 1.05 meters in height, with very big jet-black eyes, slanting up. His head was oval shaped and bald. His color was gray, like smoke. No other details were noted because of the witness state of panic and the short duration of the encounter. There were unconfirmed reports of UFO’s seen in the area that night. (10)
This type of report although not frequently reported before the late 70’s and after that appears to have around for hundreds of years if not more, maybe during ancient times and even in the early 20th century these visitations were deemed demonic in nature or at times angelic or even miraculous in nature. An example of an early case is the following case, Cologne, Germany, 1912, afternoon, the young witness, Ernest Dickhoff was alone in his bedroom when he felt a strong urge to look behind him. He then saw two strange beings, sitting on his bed. These appeared to be man-like, but seemed to be naked. After a short duration the beings suddenly vanished in plain sight. (11) Two years later there was another similar encounter, St. Didier sur Rochefort, Loire, France, 1914, 0400A, a Mr. Perret was at home sleeping when someone tapping on his back suddenly awakened him. He turns and sees a luminous being the size of a 10-12 year old child. The being had a white glittering face and wore a very shiny outfit. He illuminated the room completely. The being then walked through the closed door and vanished, an afterglow remained behind for about 3 seconds. The frightened witness remained in bed. (12)
Whatever the circumstances or whatever type of being or beings is encountered by the witness supposedly safe and secure at home, we must all agree that these so-called bedroom visitations (not necessarily bedroom) are among the most frightening and bewildering of alien or humanoid encounters.
