Hey there! I stumbled upon this site not too long ago and i have enjoyed reading all of your stories. I just have 1 of my own and its something i still cant explain. About a year ago i was sleeping on my couch, i woke up suddenly and for some odd reason i turned to look behind me. When i did i saw a tall dark figure...it was definatley a man. I got completely freaked out and pulled the covers over my head and stayed there until i fell asleep again. I didnt get a bad feeling from it just shocked me. Now this thing was PITCH BLACK...no face just basically an outline of a tall man. I havent seen it again. Is it possible that my eyes were just adjusting and i thought i saw something, or could it have been something watching me sleep?

It could have been a decesed relitive watching over you if it didnt seem threatening. But most likely it could have been your eyes makeing an outline of something in your house that looked like a man, who knows it could be anything.

Probably just your regular shadow entity; nothing to be too concerned about.

Sounds like a classic encounter with a Shadow entity. The purpose could be almost anything.
