In case I'm the last one to have heard this, I do realize that it's satire (at least, I hope it is). All I'm looking for is a source. Does anyone know where this came from?

GoBackToSleep.mp3

I got tired of waiting on an open download slot, host somewhere else, like say filefront.com?

I did what you suggested: GoBackToSleep.mp3

Let me know.

Never heard it, almost sounds like Alex Jones or Coast to Coast am (Art Bell/George Noory), maybe? A quick search didn't come up with anything.

Don't even get me started on those people. I don't fully support many CTs, but the Bilderbergers are about as shady as it comes. If any organization needs outside review, they do. disgust.gif

I heard that the Bilderberg's have been linked to the Illuminati.

I don't understand. Please explain.

Sometimes there is double voice, some other voice in the back, the way he is speaking, "music" in the back, the text he is speaking...Don`t listen that.

Do you know how to "unmask"(?) the second voice? Is that where the programming is coming from? All I know is that it gives me the creeps. My first impression, though, was that it was intended as satire. Do you think it's really something else?

It's satire, with a touch of truth, probably meant to scare people into looking up the Bilderbergs. There are all kinds of CT's about them, mostly pure speculation. However, I do believe they are in serious need of an outside audit, so to speak. For lack of time, here is one of my past rants.

How do you propose we give them an audit? I know that there are journalists who, to one degree or another, have dedicated their lives to researching, investigating, hounding, interviewing, and "spying" on that group -- all with varying levels of success; but, for the most part, their work appears to have been ignored by what we call the "mainstream" media outlets. Assuming that high ranking government officials are active in that group -- which they appear to be (from princes to presidents) -- there is presumably little chance of government oversight (at least none that is likely to be publicly disclosed). So, considering that the free-market, non-mainstream journalistic oversight is relatively impotent, and recognizing that governmental oversight is unlikely, what type of an audit would be effective?

Good question, and I don't really know if there is much of a precedence for something like that. A partisan group from Congress? A panel of Supreme Court Judges? I would be in favor of disallowing any citizen of the US from attending until this is done and a decision is made. Unless they want to change the Logan Act. wink2.gif

But, as you implied, the mainstream press is stifled, the politians are happily in their ranks, and unless something drastic happens Americans will continue attending and the public will remain complacent.

I'd be in favor of prosecuting ALL American attendees under the Logan Act -- except that, since these meetings don't have the official sanction of any government (to my knowledge), such prosecutions are likely to be exercises in futility, even if we could persuade some ambitious DoJ attorney to do it (which would certainly be a career ending move).

Logan Act:
QUOTE
Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

You mentioned, "except that, since these meetings don't have the official sanction of any government (to my knowledge), such prosecutions are likely to be exercises in futility". From the area I emphasized, you can see that the meetings don't have to be sanctioned by a government, as long as an "officer or agent" of a foreign government is in attendance. From what I've read, and my limited knowledge, there is a solid legal issue with any American attending. The only valid defense they have is that they are not discussing governmental issues, and any amount of logic tells us this is ludicrous.

Legal grounds or not, I agree it would probably be a career ending move for any attorney.

Area69
I can't listen to it, as it's probably a large file and I'm on dial up (yeah, I know), but "go back to sleep" sounds like a line out of a Bill Hicks standup routine, where he's saying "Go back to sleep America, your government is in control".

So maybe someone laid that track on top of another track, trying to point out that the track the "go back to sleep" routine is playing over is an example of the government doing some underhanded things.

It should take about 15 minutes to download on dial-up.

I don't know about the overlay. One of the other members thought that might be the cause of the distortion. I thought that perhaps the distortion was an intentional effect, but it could be the result of masking. I don't know. It would be funny, if it did turn out to be a garbled Bill Hicks rant, in the background.

You won't get an argument from me. The violation is obvious enough. But, barring a confession -- which would surely be denied by all the other members, who were also sworn to secrecy (always the hallmark of a trustworthy organization) -- there won't be a conviction, even if we could find someone to prosecute. That angle, though valid, is hopeless. What else is there?

Of course it's satire...the last line is a dead giveaway (not to mention all the communist remarks)

As for the Bilderbergers...there's nothing the US govt can do...besides the fact that all of them are members...but
a) they meet in Switzerland (the US has no authority to audit a foreign "club")
b ) the Logan act doesn't apply...they're not dealing with governements...they're all private citizens..

I seem to recall some discussion of prosecuting Farrakhan, after he returned from Libya(?), with a pledge for $1,000,000,000.00 from Muammar Qaddafi(?). Regardless, I suspect we can all agree that there will be no prosecutions, because 1) the US government is complicit, and 2) prosecution -- whether valid or invalid -- would be impractical. I liked the suggestion of an audit, though. Is there another way to go about it? ...a way that doesn't depend on the cooperation of a hopelessly corrupt government?
The Mule
The only country who has the authority to audit them would be the Swiss.

Bill Hicks is a good lead. I didn't find anything digging around yet, but there were many similarities.

I would think the only possibility would be a vocal and powerful member of the government or even candidate for President calling for it. But they would have to be very powerful, otherwise, as with the lawyers, it would be career ending. Probably, it will never happen. I do think there's plenty of evidence as it stands right now, US citizens admittedly meet regularly with foreign government officials in large and incredibly secretive meetings.

Might want to read the Logan Act again, specifically the area I emphasized. As long as any citizen meets with any officer or agent of another government, the law applies. Plenty of foreign government officials have attended past meetings.

I'd advise you to look up your facts. Wiki has a listing of past meeting places, including the US, France, Finland, Canada, Germany, Norway, and many more - they're all over. Regardless, they need not allow the US to audit the group. The US could simply tell the group that if an audit is not allowed, it will be illegal for any US citizen to attend due to the suspicious nature of what is likely being discussed at the meetings. Their power would be greatly diminished without US involvement, and if they have nothing to hide, nothing will be lost.

The Logan Act was created for a reason. Some issues should be left to the UN and discussed in an open, public forum. Trust the UN or not, at least we know what they're doing to/with the world.

Just in general, the whole "go to sleep" thing seems to be a spin off from him, as Area69 pointed out. I still can't find squat on this clip though. Is this where you originally found it, or did you post it there?

A friend emailed it to me. When I asked where she found it, she didn't know. Someone else had emailed it to her. No telling how many times it had been relayed. I just figured that if I posted it here, someone would be able to tell me where it came from. I can't even get a feel for how old it is. I figured it would be old news here, though, and that everyone might laugh at me for being so far behind the curve. But I'm even more curious now than when I posted it.
