a utopian society but something that caused a war between the gods and so humanity left kobol to settle on 12 different worlds. These worlds were called the 12 colonies of Kobol. During this time the colonies faught against each other, made alliances, and enemys. This lasted up till about 40 or 50 years before the current time the show takes place. It was a time of relative peace between the colonies. They were making great achievements in technology, especially computers and robotics. One day a great invention was made. A race of robots called Cylons were created. The were made to be servants. They fought humanity's wars. They also grew and learned until the day came when they decided to rebel against there makers. This rebellion was called the Cylon War. It was a long and bloody stailmait until both sides came to an agreement. The fighting came to an end and the Cylons left for a world to call there own. Know one had seen or heard from the Cylons in over 50 years. On the anniversary of the first Cylon war an old warship named the Battlestar Galactica was having a decominshining ceremony. It was going to become a museum ship. The Cylons suddenly launched a surprise attack on the colonies. They killed billions from a fiery nuclear holocaust. The humans found out much to there surprise that the Cylons had evolved. They were no longer the old clunky tin cans that they had come familiar with but instead looked and feal human. In fact genetically there were no differences between the human looking Cylons and humans. Some Cylons even thought they were human. They had sleeper cells that when triggered an activation program would kick in letting thim no they were Cylons and give them orders. Now only a small fleet of ships with less than 50,000 survivors were all that was left of humanity. Humans were now an endangered species, and on the run for there lives. They had no place to go. However there was a legend of a lost 13th colonie of man. This colonie was called Earth. In the show unlike the humans who believe in many gods the Cylons believe in one true god. The Cylons have said they know a dark secret about the Lord's of Kobol who are the humans gods. As of yet they have not revealed this secret.
On the shows third season finally they were the closets to Earth they have ever been. This is also probaly the best episode. The episode dealt with Galactica's first officer Col. Tigh who is a drunk. He kept on hearing strange music that he thought was coming from in the walls of the ship. Then three other
crew members began herring the same song. Then then all went at the same time into a storage room. At that moment they relised they were Cylons. They
could not believe that after all this time they were the very thing they hated and were fighting against. Then the music started playing. These were the words to that song.
There must be some way out of here, said the joker to the thief,
There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief.
Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth,
None of them along the line know what any of it is worth.
No reason to get excited," the thief, he kindly spoke,
There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke.
But you and I, we've been through that, and this is not our fate,
So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late.
All along the watchtower, princes kept the view
While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too.
Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl,
Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl.
If you don't recognize this song it is called along along the watch tower by Bob Dylan! It is probably his most famous song.
Now the reason the were hearing this is because it was probaly some sorta activation signal from the cylons. But how did a race of machines from far across the galaxy who didnt have any knoledge of Earth send one of Bob Dylan's songs into the heads of these new Cylons? Well there are a few possibilities. You know how signals from radio and TV have been traveling from Earth since they were first invented? Well the Cylons could have picked up the signal and used it in there activation program. Or perhaps the Cylons had already been to Earth or mabey somehow we the people of Earth are in fact the Cylons. The episode came to an end with three Cylon ships coming on the galactica's DRADIS, which is basically there RADAR or SONAR but works in space. The Galactica launched it fighterts but then an unknown contact was made by one of the fighters. The character named Lee than sees someone in a colonial fighter who supposedly died a few episodes bake. The character who died is named Starbuck and we even saw her death a few episodes back. The most likely reason that Lee sees Starbuck is in fact is that she is most likely a Cylon. The Cylons don't die. Instead the reincarnate themselves into new bodys in a process called being Downloaded. This is one of the paranormal aspects of the show. Starbuck than tells Lee that she has been to Earth and will take them there. The show then zooms away from the fleet with a shot of the galaxy with the "Along The Watchtower" playing and then zooms through our solar system with a shot of Earth.
Here is one of my theroys about the show. Unlike in the original Battlestar Galacitca there are no aliens. Just the Humans and Cylons. Well in before these new cylons were reviled there were only 6 known models of Cylons. The only glimps we got of them before this episode were of 5 people in long church quire style gowns and hoods. They were all white and glowing. They looked almost Angelic. Now in the orginal they did have aliens. They were in fact Angelic beings who did clame to be Angels. There ship looked like a big crystal in space. It was called the ship of lights. Now my theroy is that these so called new Cylons are not Cylons at all. Since they looked exactly like the Angel aliens did in the orginal they could be some sort of alien or actual Angels. Also remember that the cylons said they knew a dark secret about the human's gods. The Cylons dont worship the same gods because they call them false gods and that there is one true God. I think that the Lords of Kobol are some kind of alien race pretending to be gods and brought the early humans from Earth and force them to worship the gods an be there slaves. Since there were angelic aliens the Lords of Kobol could be Demon like. Perhaps some kind of Extra Dimensional demonic beings. The angels and the demon aliens could be in some kind of war over the humans and Cylons. Please tell me what you think. My
