Me, too. As to contact, would we really be allowed to know, or would the governments hide it? Unless it was something utterly sensational, it would probably be kept hush hush.

Hopefully governments won't be able to do a damn thing about it if or when it happens. I already feel like an alien in comparison to most people, so for me it'll be more like a welcome visit than anything to panic about - not that I'm naive to think that "everyone" is good out there, but as it stands we seem to be the dangerous ones.

For ten dollars, I pick 2012 or somewhere thereabouts. Once UFOs make it in the daily news and no one can ignore it anymore I reckon something big will be on the horizon.

The big deal I hopes, the contact would be so big that the gov.. can not denied it, big swarms of ET all over the world..

I saw a good video from a researcher last night (a Mexican) I think his name is Jaime Maussan or something. Anyhow he showed a video clip where someone filmed well over 200 objects hovering in the distance and doing in a very well coordinated movement. It was pretty cool.

I think we will have contact with ET's when the Human species has reached a Technological level that have the ability to manipulate Time or Gravity etc.

Alternatively we might be contacted when we have evolved into a society that does not have sickness or cruelty and we are enlightened creatures.

I predict that we will have ET contact by 2099

Well, Whenever i watch something on the history channel about this some very credible people such as video analysts that have studied the lights over arizona and other video taped sightings think that we'll have contact by 2025. I'll be in my forties but hey still young enough to care about it.

If any intelligent ET race was to make contact with us, It would not just be with the Government, They are not us, they may believe they speak and own us - But they are wrong.

Probebly never. On a universal time scale, the probable chances are that we will have killed ourselves off (or the enviroment) long before anything else reaches us.

I wouldn't say that! After all, UFOs have made their presence know in many ways. Ask some of those military pilots who have intercepted andf fired upon saucer-shaped flying vehicles, which we didn't have in our closet at the time.

My opinion? We are already being contacted by some higher form of intelligence. Most people just don't know it yet.

excuse me, I'm new here, but did want to post one small idea. While the entire UFO thing may turn out to be nothing, it is still a good thing. ( I think there is something to all the reports, I just haven't yet decided what.)If these thousands of sightings are never explained, we are still better off. Maybe it will inspire our children to go looking among the stars for those EBEs that their grandfather reported.

In my time I have seen a lot of changes on this old world, some good, some bad. I do know that in the 'golden age' of sci-fi it was all considered rubbish by people of the self styled intellectual class to even consider spaceflight. Much like some here and on other sites, the worldly attitude was to keep your head down and work on Earthly problems. But the writers of that early fiction made a whole generation consider "what if".

Because as a species we dreamed the stars to be attainable, we've now traveled beyond earth several times. A species cannot attain great things without great dreams. If UFOs have done nothing else, they have enlarged our scope of dreaming. Perhaps in a mystical sense, we dream our very future.

Good post. Many skeptics come in here wearing 'science' on their sleeves, and act as though there is nothing to UFOs or any other of the unexplained mysteries. These people may be doing science a great disservice because they give the impression that anything mysterious has already been explained, in effect trying to kill those dreams.

Yes, problems can be incurred from both sides (believers and skeptics - again, I just dislike those denotations). But I honestly do think most of us actually spend our time here because there is something interesting to discuss. Admittedly, I come with science on my sleeve and I use it. And, by all means of respect, there is a lot of garbage here that one (at least I) have to weed out before actually getting to the interesting cases.

And, as I have stated before, I might sometimes come across as harsh and a hardcore debunker (apologies in advance) as I try to poke any and all holes in what is told. And when I find the substantiated case I can't poke holes in, well, that is the case that is interesting to discuss, as then there is most likely something there
