Now you can't tell me that back then when you were a kid these stories didn't scare the sh** outta you.

I remember laying in my bed at night thinking of all these stories and couldn't go to sleep for hours.

If you haven't ever read them, well then they probably won't be as scary now. But they're still good none the less.

Pretty good book to scare little kids with.

I was more scared of Goosebumps as a child, especially the TV show.

When I was in elementary school, I read those stories whenever I could get my hands on them, they were alsways checked out at my local library. I must say, the pictures(the style that they were done in )disturbed me much more than the stories ever did.

I remember reading those as a kid. Man, those were scary back then. I used to stay up till 1:00 am reading them and then not being able to get back to bed.

WOW!!! I remember those books! I had them all, and I also had the audio casset tapes, too.

The pictures in the books creeped me out! I loved all those funny stories like "The Toe."

they were a great read but i dont know why but i have never seen a movie or read a book that made me scared to sleep

only time i have ever been scared was the first time on the alien Encounter in Disney world, other than that meh

Back not too long ago, I used to love reading Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, I would read it in my room at night, under the covers with a flashlight. I was always so fun.

This tread just made me remember how much I liked reading them. Makes me want to go out and read those stories again.

I've never actually heard of those books, but that cover art would have scared the poop out of me when I was little.

My parents MADE me go on that ride when I was little, even though I was too scared to go on! I begged and pleaded not to go on, but they wouldn't listen! That ride freaking traumatized me, it was terrifying for a little kid! I'm 18 now, and I still haven't forgiven them for it!

Anywho, back in my day I was an "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" fan. That show could get pretty damn creepy, especially the episode with the bloody monster that lived in the pool. I couldn't sleep after that one.

I screamed like a banshee through the whole thing too, and for about an hour after we got off the ride. Parents can be so cruel sometimes. thumbdown.gif

I hated those pictures, but I still could not stop myself from reading them. ph34r.gif
