the ozone layer is breaking up at the poles, this lets more heat in then ususal, the icecaps are melting, slowly. what is happening now may not affect anyone for another 5-6 years, but in that time, the icecaps get smaller.
every year the summers get longer on the poles, and the winters shorter. this means more period of time that heat can get in, its destroying the icecaps. . . maybe people deny global warming because they dont think they can do anything about it, but what about the ozone layer? can we do something about that? maybe we can, , , there is an amount of regeneration going on in the layer, but CFCs keep destroying it, , , chloroflorocarbons for the ones curious about that. . . we need to convince people to stop using old refridgerators and old other things that use chloroflorocarbons. . . but how???? any ideas?

Holes in the ozone layer allow UV Radiation to pour in, nothing to do with heat though.
They've already introduced a treaty known as the Montreal Protocol to reduce CFC emissions which has been successful; CFC's have been largely replaced by HFC's which aren't ozone depleting. The disposal of the last generation of refrigerators containing CFC's is what's important.
The last I heard, the ozone hole is set to repair itself in the coming decades.

Let me give more information, also you can try out the sites:www.epa.gov/ozone or www.unep.org/ozone
THe Monteal Protocol(MP) was signed in 1987 after the Vienna Covention and followed by 5 amendments/adjustments. It placed a schedule for phaseout of ODS. Since then the rate of ozone deletion has been lowered, and several international organizations have been found help the protocol. The ozone layer is said to be fully repaired by 2068 according to a newest report.
Things you can do to help include:transform you automobile air-conditioning to an ozone-friendly one;purchase ozone-friendly computers;stop using methyl bromide as soil fumigant or pesticide
