goodbye
Have you ever said some unkind harse words to a love one and which you can take it all back? I hate the feeling it leaves you. I was drinking and said some very rude things to the love of my life. I know it shouldn't be an excuse, I just wish I would just learn to keep my mouth shut instead of jumping to conclusions and saying words that I regret. She is the most kindest loving lady I known. Would like to see your thoughts on topic.

I think everyone has done it at one time or another. I tend to lash out at people when I'm mad. Later I regret everything - that feeling is horrible. hmm.gif Damn me and my temper.

I hope everything works out in your favor. We all make mistakes.

We all say stupid things now and then, sober or not. I used to do this a lot more but I've grown pretty mellow. You could always show her your post. original.gif

I think that at one time or another this will happen to everyone. Anger, while an emotion we tend to be able to control, is very volatile. When you lash out it is symbolic of popping the cork on a wine bottle, all the pressure is released, but after it is said and done, you are left with an empty feeling inside.

Its hard to contain your self at times! I will say nasty stuff if i feel threatened and if it is said to me- so it goes in a circle!

Its just what we do- everyone has opinions being nasty or not! and sometimes we feel the need to share them at times, unfortuanly!

I always feel bad and the scenario plays back in my mind and i think of ways to fix it, but that not an option all the time!

Sh!T happens!

I have a really bad temper when somebody makes me mad enough. If I have ever said unkind words to somebody, they deserved it, and I never really felt guilty for doing so; other than lowering my ladylike manners tongue.gif. The only person that I have ever felt guilty sassing back is my mother, because she's my everything.

In an online situation, it's easier for me to react to things that piss me off in a more mature way than in person. I'm pretty laid back, but certain things will set me off and I'm a mouth runner and I've said tons of things I've regretted later. People usually do say things they don't mean in the heat of the moment and most of the time, explaining that and talking it out will clear things up original.gif
You will always say the meanest things to those closest to you, I've learned. Most of the time you don't mean it at all.. you just lashed out and they're usually the ones nearest at hand.

As others have said, we all do it. An apology, if sincere, really helps a lot. original.gif

Defend those you love or care about and discard those you don't.

They do say sometimes we need to be drunk to tell people what we really feel about them. False courage and all.

I have no regrets...about anything. There are times I shrug and think "oh well" but overall I don't regret anything. Why regret? It's in the past. You can't change it. And yes, I infuriate people with this outlook on life thumbsup.gif

As long as you apologise after and really mean it, people tend to forgive but maybe not forget.... original.gif

I find that people are mostly sorry after saying bad things to people only because they are afraid of the consequences. It's rare to see someone actually sorry for what they have said or done.

Aaaah, I am ashamed to admit it but thats nearly always the case with me.
I have a horrible problem of just making petty comments which I hardly even notice making, but other peple do. Usually I pick it up, but sometimes it turns out really poorly.
But I have become an expert in backpeddeling....

I agree, Mum:

The problem with that is I have a friend who says that her boyfriend would come home from work and blow up at her, and later he would say "Sorry, honey, I had a bad day." Then later on he would do the same thing and say "Sorry, honey, I had a bad headache." Then the next time he would say "Sorry, honey, my car broke down on the freeway."

He seemed like he really meant it, but I don't think so. Not if he does it over and over again.
