Ohh, it's Friday the 13th and I only just noticed.

But I've always wondered...what is it about this date that causes so much superstition?

Don't have any sources on this, but i think in midievil times, people believed 13 was an unlucky number, and on fridays goblins or something like that appeared in the forests so on friday the 13th they thought the goblins could go further than the forests to spread bad luck.
Not sure if that is right but thats what i saw on T.V ages ago

yup friday the 13th was the date the templar knights got desimated by the french on orders of the church

In our family we look at it as lucky. We usually have good luck ont he 13th, maybe because we disregard the whole badluck thing and don't look for it?

I was doing lights for a show on Friday the thirteenth, nothing went wrong. I'd say it's not really bad luck.
And Crystal Lake Resort is a fictional place.

I always thought it originally dated back to the Friday that Jesus was betrayed by his 13th deciple, Judas.
