Full Version: Who here is educated?
Unexplained Mysteries Discussion Forums > Other > General Off-Topic Discussion

I've read some of the threads here and have come to the conclusion that 99% of the posters have never gone to college. The comments people make under "scientific" pretense are absurd, and reflect no knowledge of physics whatsoever. I am currently studying engineering at the University of California. What about you? Can you claim to be educated? If not why do you pretend to represent "science". Trust me Newton, Gauss, Einstein, Ampere, Fourier, etc, would be disgusted to see how their work has been perverted.

You come here on the sole purpose to belittle those others with less education? Scientifically qualified or not, opinion is open to all. thumbsup.gif

Not to be rude...but you come off like a pretentious...well, college student.

And for your information I dropped out of school in year 8...smart people don't need others to educate them...they can teach themselves thumbsup.gif

I think there are many intelligent people here. There's no need for the insults wink2.gif. If you see someone with a wrong idea of what science is, then debate him/her about it.

Exactly original.gif What it really boils down to is common sense and the ability to be so open minded as to take in and understand other people's arguments, yet not so open minded as to take everything at face value!

Just my two cents!

I can see your going to have loads of friends, lol. Maybe SaRuMaN should join up with Mensa, and have an intelligence test as part of the sign-up procedure, and only people with certain IQs can join, or are allowed to make comments. Sub intelligent people would only be able to read the more superior persons comments, and hopefully learn something?

But seriously, the forums are open to everyone. Not every person is a Darwin or Einstein in the making. Not everyone is future NASA material. But then that’s why I love it here so much, theirs so much variation here. Such a wealth of different views, ideas, backgrounds and variety of lifestyles that make for a huge mix of information that we all share. I for one wouldn’t change a thing.

I think you should learn to be more tolerant of everyone, regardless of their intellectual level of worded communicational skills and level of educational backgrounds. If you put labels of people you automatically put peoples backs up.

Well I have common sense ..... if that counts for anything.

That counts for everything, in my honest opinion. And common sense tells you to question everything, I am sure original.gif And even if there is a highly technical discussion between very knowledgeable people here, we can all learn something from it and ask the "stupid" questions that nobody had thought about.

There are members here from all walks of life and from all types of academic backgrounds. Starting a thread with the purpose to be rude and insulting to other members is not tolerated on this forum.

The last time I looked this was an Unexplained-Mysteries board not a forum exclusively for Mensa members.
